Is vibecoding still a thing ? I see lots of hype with Claude Code, I see lots of slop apps. but rarely I see useful apps created with vibecoding

The wording here is extremely concerning. It sounded like the main restriction was using it to compete with their APIs, but that may not be the case. It sounds like any commercial use requires a paid license, AKA you can't sell software made using a locally ran model.
RyanLee@RyanLeeMiniMax

I just updated our license. For personal use, you’re free to run the software on your own servers for coding, building applications, agents, tools, or integrations, as well as for research, experimentation, and other personal projects. Don’t worry, bro — go ahead and use it freely!🤗 huggingface.co/MiniMaxAI/Mini…

@kaif9999 Good choice I like Kimi 2.5 (they're releasing 2.6 soon) but get the code reviewed I think by another LLM

"if you're a solo builder who wants full control over memory, file access, and cron scheduling, self-hosted still wins. I couldn't run my setup on someone else's cloud without losing the disk-level context that makes it work." A good analysis and why these apps wont make a dent in the popularity and resurgence of the VPS. It's just nice to have a separate set-up

I had a look and here is my 2cent regarding this announcement I run a 24/7 agent (hermes) on a mac mini. my crons and skills reads and writes to disk, talks to me on telegram. fully self-hosted. I think that managed agents solves a different problem. it's for teams who want agent infrastructure without building the infrastructure. no server management, no sandbox engineering, no error handling plumbing. ---- if you're a solo builder who wants full control over memory, file access, and cron scheduling, self-hosted still wins. I couldn't run my setup on someone else's cloud without losing the disk-level context that makes it work. however, if you're shipping agents for clients or internal tools where you need sandboxing, approval flows, and zero ops overhead, then yes this is the play. spin up, define permissions, deploy. done.
Claude@claudeai

Introducing Claude Managed Agents: everything you need to build and deploy agents at scale. It pairs an agent harness tuned for performance with production infrastructure, so you can go from prototype to launch in days. Now in public beta on the Claude Platform.

If you’re still spending $200/mo on Claude API for coding… you’re donating. My current setup for Julius (OpenClaw): - Minimax M2.7 for shipping - Kimi K2.5 for tougher reasoning $10–15/mo and ~90–95% of Opus output. What model/provider are you using now?

Codex is a great product and people jumping ship from others the last few weeks due to the generous limits and concessions they had for a $20 plan. They doubled usage until April 2nd then reset limits to celebrate 3 million weekly users. The party is over sadly and they're now offering a $100 plan with those very limits people were enjoying.
Mark Kretschmann@mark_k

After the latest rounds of "rebalancing" usage limits for popular AI coding subscriptions like Codex and Claude Code, $20 is no longer the ticket to an all-included experience. $100 is the new starting price, unless you want to risk running out of credits and having to wait one week. The times of eating well are over. AI inference is costly, GPUs are scarce, and users will have to pay a premium for the service.

we were just granted limited seedance 2.0 access these are the restrictions imposed by bytedance (apply to any platform, not just @fal) on top, you can't use faces as input or generate realistic representations of humans there are still some use cases I would like to test, though, esp around animated content

Vik@onlinedopamine

hey my beautiful @fal friends - we would very much like seedance 2.0 access as well some of our biggest competitors, all of whom have raised insane amounts of money and are therefore already at an advantage, have gotten access to the model meanwhile, us poor bootstrapped founders have to wait while companies with questionable marketing ethics get to already deploy and make money from this powerful model i think it would only be fair if you grant access to @genviral_, too otherwise, how are we supposed to escape the permanent underclass introduced by the very same models you guys are distributing???

I am probably a mid-high @openclaw user using mostly Sonnet via @AnthropicAI via APIs and i'm over $100 a day they are taking a bath on these subs. Run 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚊𝚠 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚏𝚒𝚐𝚞𝚛𝚎 if you want to change your default model and auth into your gpt subscription ez pz

Just shipped v2 of ClawChief for @openclaw this morning. 6,000 bookmarks + 700,000 views, so a lot of you are finding value here. v2 improvements: 1. Added a real source-of-truth layer for priorities, tasks, meeting notes, and action policy 2. Upgraded the task system with a live task file + completed-task archive 3. Reworked heartbeat into an orchestrator instead of a giant instruction blob 4. Improved the EA, biz-dev, daily task manager, and daily prep skills 5. Added meeting-notes ingestion + cleaner cron templates Big improvements inspired by @pedroh96 and what he shared during his interview with @ashleevance: youtube.com/watch?v=9ZbbxS…
