What I most love about this Venezuela event is hearing western politicians and commentators struggling with the fact that all their training and education taught them that western politicians are not gangsters, racketeers and criminals.

@DaveShapi The billionaires don't care. They have done everything they want to do so far, and they know the world is unraveling. They see the destruction caused by AI as just another step in their journey. They expect to survive it initially but are locked in to seeing how far it goes.

Remarkable watching the U.S. media reporting that "nobody" died in Venezuela when civilians were in fact killed. They mean no Americans died and they genuinely do not give a shit about anyone else.

Federal worker: My district went for Trump both in 2016 and 2024, and a lot of my friends supported him. But they didn't vote for the parks to close, health care costs to skyrocket, veterans to lose care, and for tens of thousands of federal employees to be at risk of losing their jobs.

@ML3democrats Not really. I do not live there and the voters in the USA elected him democratically (assuming there was no cheating). Their choice. He is a horrific choice but they knew what he was.
