Don't get me wrong not immediately fixing the content vault was Bungie's greatest mistake, but their article explaining why they had to do it should've been "THE GAME WILL EXPLODE IF WE DONT DO THIS" copy pasted over and over bc people STILL think vaulting was about install size

@PrimeStrafe @FarrisOfThemAII I dunno i think part of it is a difference in life philosophy, the more aware and accepting you are of the impermanence of all things in life the less it might matter to you. I think that's why it doesn't matter to me as much. Stuff doesn't stay around, I loved it while i had it.

@PrimeStrafe @FarrisOfThemAII its really sucks there just isnt a right answer for this, no matter what bungie did a lot of people were going to be really upset. I believe this was the only course of action that would have got us Final Shape in Destiny 2. To me that's worth it, I'm sorry if it wasn't. /gen

@VariksTheKell @FarrisOfThemAII The problem is, how many of that content was unvaulted and how many is imposible to play back? Even if we payed for that content. Yeah, im glad we are staying in one game, but this is not the way, specially for new players and people who invest their money here

@PrimeStrafe @FarrisOfThemAII i think we need to continue to blame activision for wanting 3 games and praise bungie for actually listening to us and staying in D2, if they didn't try to contractually force bungie into a trilogy everything could have been in a single game instead of split and unvaulted later

There might be some kinda legal barrier but idk I think it would've been really cool if Bungie could've paid some 3rd party websites at least just enough to keep the sites goin. They are a multi billion dollar corporation afterall.

Can someone explain to me what Bungie did wrong to the D2 community? All I’ve seen is them slowly ramping down the game since FS and giving attention to a different IP. I have 10K hours across the Destiny franchise and I don’t feel betrayed. Make it make sense.

@Byrdman @falloutplays No its not. People are genuinely pissed off at and hurt by bungie for how theyre treating the D2 community. Yes theres people doing what youre saying, but not everyone. Theres a lot that want to see and support the downfall of bungie just because of what theyre doing.

@Slonk01 Bro thinks Marathon had a short budget with Bungie removing resources from D2 to fix and develop it, +4 years of development, and Bungie being absorbed by Sony with the half of the cost of Marvel when Disney bought it. Marathon is everything else than short budget game

@NuCaloric Im just going to say: After they removed the red war, curse of osiris, and warmind, Destiny lost its strongest new player income. After that, only veterans and people with friends who play Destiny are the only ones coming back Red War was the feet of D2, and they were cutted

@Slonk01 This argument fall apart with the RNG and Matchmaking factor with requiring lot of time to get prepared for an experience where you need 2 more friends to do it. This would be good if key narrative parts werent involved, it is not good with Destiny raids, and it is not good here

Man, fuck your 9-5 grandma. Not every piece of content, especially endgame content, can or should be accessible to everyone. The whole point of Cryo Archive is that it tests the skills you’ve developed throughout playing the game, and if you fail, well that’s on you not the game

@InfiniteGrunt Technicalñy it is a problem gor player who wants to follow the narrative. Having a lot of requirments in a game where you depend a lot in you luck in the matchmaking and behind a fireteam its very restrictive. It was not good in Destiny raids, and still not good in Marathon
