In collaboration with Sarvatrika Arogya Andolana Karnataka, ActionAid Association and community groups from 31 districts across Karnataka submitted an appeal to Dinesh Gundu Rao, Karnataka’s Health Minister, in Bengaluru, demanding the enactment of a Right to Health Act in the state. They called for the provision of free, quality medicines at Primary Health Centres, strict regulation of private hospital charges, and improved monitoring of health services. The coalition also urged the government to halt the privatization of public hospitals and ensure affordable healthcare for all, especially marginalized communities.
