I’ve noticed a certain segment of our population feels compelled to "protest". They appear to feed off each other’s anger, so in-person yelling, screaming, chanting leaves them feeling energized and empowered…especially aging hippies, 40ish Karens, and young, unprepossessing males.

At the time, I tried to convince a Never Trumper DJT was right to throw down on Merkel over her ill fated LNG deal with Putin. Unfortunately, his hatred of Trump hinders his ability to think rationally. As I neither fanatically love nor loathe DJT, I don’t struggle to agree or disagree with his words/actions.

@AkkadSecretary I seem to remember Trump telling global leaders that their energy policies were ridiculous and them laughing in response. If Trump, of all people, could figure it out, I can't muster much in the way of sympathy.

I am not a DJT fanatic and did not vote for him *or* Harris. However, I *was* given all manner of grief from Biden dementia deniers, starting during the primaries. Having walked the ALZ/dementia path with 2 loved ones, it was easy to recognize the telltale signs. So, I’m okay if Jonah and his ilk are being questioned about Biden’s lack of a test. We now know many in the media were willingly complicit with those covering up Biden’s very evident mental decline.

Youngest Youngin got into 3 of her top 5 universities (including the one I think she really wants) 2 w/hefty scholarship offers, & wait listed on a forth, yet been brooding all day on one she missed out on. Apparently I've passed on the "too hard on yourself" gene

One of my aunts, who recently celebrated her 89th birthday, had her thyroid removed when she was in her late 20s or early 30s. Other than taking a "thyroid pill", as she calls it, the removal had no effects, adverse or otherwise on her daily life. I expect it will be the same with your sis. 🙏 for speedy recovery.
