Damn: Browns star DE Myles Garrett will lose a $1 MILLION workout bonus by skipping the team’s offseason program. Garrett must participate in 84.375% of offseason workout sessions, attend all minicamps and OTAs, and report to training camp on time to make $1M. He's signed to a contract worth only $160 million.

@Bobbabbouie @Raistlhofff @NFL_DovKleiman put up in ‘25. Bout to do the same in ‘26. He’ll be ready. he doesn’t cry like a b*tch on the field & if you post him treating Rudolph like a 235lb ragdoll, it just proves my point. He’s no one to be trifled with & has the bank role to back it up. 😢 harder about him skipping.

@CoachLisle Good question to ask recruits, too. Setting expectations early. Also set the expectation that their ‘social life’ is pretty much tied to the sport they are playing.

Every HS kid I ask “wants to play” in college. But so many don’t want: 20 hours of practice/weights 20 hours of class/study hall 0 hours of “social life” Some weeks: 6-7 days a week. 6am starts. 10pm ends. Sooo...Do you REALLY want it?

@JuckOnBucks People are stupid juck… who do you think a coach like dan lanning wants: PLAYER A- “coach I can’t wait to get on campus and develop into a 1st round pick word hard grind and be the best I can be for your program” Player B- “coach I can’t wait to get my free Nike shit and chill”

@JuckOnBucks That’s not what’s in print. ‘Wanting’ to be the best and ‘being’ the best are two entirely different things. Without hard work and development from both the coach & player, how else would one ‘be’ a first rounder? His inference is the hole in the statement.

@suralargonus @openmikedj @Notwokenow Nope. You don’t get ejected for obstruction. I say straddle the plate, and if the fool doesn’t slide - especially when there’s a play - light him up. Teach your kids to box, if fools think they can bring football to the diamond - the gloves come off, hockey style.

@openmikedj @Notwokenow There are rules that justify both players being ejected. The No Run-Over Rule and the catcher not being allowed to block the plate without actual possession of the ball.

@CoachLisle The pendulum has to be somewhere in the middle. Between your thoughts and ‘Not everyone gets a trophy’. 🏆 your framing criticism in a negative light. If you can’t positively critique - you shouldn’t coach as a parent.

BTW... that was an absolute disaster by ESPN. Kudos to anybody who actually was able to find the bottom of the 8th between #OU/Texas in time. I missed the Hannah Wells' HR. Got to ESPN+ in time for Stewart's bomb. A mess.

@CoachSwit Yes. You should be lighting up HS pitching, if you’re a real hitter - one that’s opportunistic. You see, good hitters can put a swing on anything over the plate- not ‘their’ swing. There’s where the offers should be.

Another high school coach said to me this week: “You see kids committing D1 off exit velo, ‘upside’ and showcases… Then you check the H.S. stats—and they’re hitting in the .100s.” He asked: “If you’re a D1 guy, shouldn’t you be lighting up H.S. pitching?” Thoughts on this?

Elon Musk
Elon Musk@elonmusk·
Yes
Dustin@r0ck3t23

Elon Musk thinks the entire education system is built on a broken assumption. That every student should learn the same thing. At the same speed. In the same order. At the same time. Musk: “Everyone goes through from like 5th grade to 6th grade to 7th grade like it’s an assembly line. But people are not objects on an assembly line.” The model was designed for a factory economy. Standardized inputs. Predictable outputs. That economy is gone. The assembly line is gone. But the education system still runs on its logic. A student who masters algebra in two weeks sits through eight more weeks because the calendar says so. A student who struggles gets dragged forward because the schedule doesn’t wait. Neither is being served. Both are being processed. Musk: “Allow people to progress at the fastest pace that they can or are interested in, in each subject.” AI doesn’t teach a classroom. It teaches a student. One at a time. Every time. It skips what a student already knows. It finds where they’re stuck and approaches it from a different angle. It adjusts in real time. Not at the end of a semester when the damage is already done. A student obsessed with basketball learns fractions through shooting percentages. A student who builds in Minecraft learns geometry through architecture. The subject doesn’t change. The entry point does. No teacher with thirty students can do this. Not because they lack skill. Because the math doesn’t work. AI doesn’t have that constraint. Musk: “You do not need to tell your kid to play video games. They will play video games on autopilot all day. So if you can make it interactive and engaging, then you can make education far more compelling.” The brain isn’t broken. The format is. Kids learn complex systems and strategic thinking for hours voluntarily. Then walk into a classroom and can’t focus for twenty minutes. That’s not a discipline problem. That’s a design problem. Musk: “A university education is often unnecessary. You probably learn the vast majority of what you’re going to learn there in the first two years. And most of it is from your classmates.” Four years. Six figures of debt. And the real value comes from the people sitting next to you. Not the institution charging you. The degree doesn’t certify knowledge. It certifies endurance. Musk: “If the goal is to start a company, I would say no point in finishing college.” The system was built to train employees. If you’re not trying to be one, it has nothing left to offer you. Every lecture. Every textbook. Every curriculum. Now available instantly. Personalized to any learner. Adapted to any pace. The question isn’t whether the old model survives. It’s how long we keep forcing students through it while the replacement already exists.

NIL didn’t ruin college sports. The NCAA’s refusal to build a real legal framework did. NIL just made it impossible to hide. 100 years. $0 paid to athletes. $2.8 billion now owed in back pay.

@FBGreatMoments Me neither. To see a man pull another 200lb + man up by his face mask, with one arm, with another man on his back was a feat of strength. Words were the source of that rage. I always thought the Browns would trade for Rudolph so MG could use him in his workout regimen.
