The correct lessons have been learned in Taiwan from Ukraine, where millions of Ukrainians were sent to their deaths in Washington’s attempt to use Ukraine as a battering ram to bring down Russia🇷🇺.
Washington will seek to pit brother against brother, and destroy the lives of millions, to preserve its own hegemony.
If Washington’s plan comes into fruition, millions of Chinese in the mainland and in Taiwan will be killed, simply for Washington to maintain its dominance.
The Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China, despite being historical rivals with differing visions for China, unite against Washington’s ambitions.

I think what the US and Israel did re Lebanon will turn out to be a huge strategic mistake. If they left Lebanon alone for 2 weeks, they would have had 2 weeks of economic pressure release through Strait of Hormuz being open while they put a new military plan in place. The short-sighted decision to keep bombing Lebanon now, allows Iran to keep the Strait closed, meaning the economic pressure builds over time. Every day that the Strait is closed, the economic problems compound. Until now, buffers in the global economy (floating storage, etc.) have held off the worst outcomes. But those buffers are fast depleting, meaning by the time the US wants to restart the war in 2 weeks, its going to be facing far greater economic pressure.

Great column! The usual establishment suspects are writing Lewis off as “too radical.” But, what’s radical about protecting workers, wages, public services and the environment? What’s radical about saying the government should favour the interests of the 99% over the 1%?

Sal stop emphasizing the pejorative term you find so humorous, I don't think that the Muslim community find this funny at all. Who's going to control the Strait is probably going to be Iran /Oman 12 miles both ways.

@StockSavvyShay This is the traffic on Feb 27. 15 is about 11.5% of pre-war traffic. However, this is almost exclusively controlled by Iran as the ships are sailing through the Aya-TOLL-ah Booth and not the center of the Strait.

I do politics when I vote, but I don't do it on social media.
And yes, I will advocate for the mariners who tend to have no voice.
And, Iran is not an innocent nation, especially when it comes to attacking ships.
