Early GPT 5.5 thoughts. They FINALLY fixed the word vomitting that 5.4 did. The answers are much more succicent and on point, very similar to how human Claude feels. My biggest gripe is tool calling still sucks. I ask it to review a call in Granola? Cannot find the call. Find something in slack? No luck. Claude still much better for agentic use, however GPT much stronger reasoning.

I have had early access to GPT 5.5 for over a week now. And have been cooking with @NaderLikeLadder and the Codex team at NVIDIA HQ on how to roll it out to all of our employees. As a developer, our lives change every couple months. Now, the same is happening for all knowledge workers. I use Codex + 5.5 to complete features end to end, including updating linear tickets, reviewing PRs, and even tagging people in slack ;) But I also use it to summarize meetings from transcripts, read my email and give me action items, and create visualizations of data to help the company make informed decisions. OpenAI continues to uplevel everyone professionally with their tools, powered by NVIDIA hardware to accelerate them.

Introducing GPT-5.5 A new class of intelligence for real work and powering agents, built to understand complex goals, use tools, check its work, and carry more tasks through to completion. It marks a new way of getting computer work done. Now available in ChatGPT and Codex.

@samdavidoff yup that is why you ask Gemini anything related to recent updates or news 😂. I had to buy extra usage specifically for Claude Design.

You know it's vibe coded when the AI from the same company doesn't actually understand how the product usage works

When was the last time ChatGPT was down? In 3 years of use there have been maybe 4 - 5 times. Claude is legit down multiple times every single week.

Founders and capital allocators, you want to help? Do you want to turn this country around? Don't give money to smarmy politicians -- they will grinfuck you, then screw you and most importantly, they will waste your precious time. Just build for this ICP: A single parent in America... who has to work two jobs to make $80k a year... has two kids... wants to own a home... is in credit card debt... needs to provide a quality education in an uncertain world... and wants their family to be healthy. What is our industry doing for that parent? The AI industry is hated right now, because we focus on eliminating jobs, building data centers and the valuations of our companies. We need to get focused on solving three problems: 1. Education 2. Housing 3. Healthcare These are the most frustrating parts of being an American today... of being a parent. The majority of a domestic balance sheet gets allocated to these three categories, and it feels like every year you get less for your dollar. It feels like you're getting screwed, and everyone in Silicon Valley is getting rich -- and that feeling is reality. We need to build products that help people: -- Customized AI tutors for students (i.e., services like @brilliantorg, which @chamath and I seed-funded), home schooling platforms, marketplaces where parents can share the after-school burden. -- More homes, cheaper homes and better homes: Factory and 3D printed homes (we funded @blokable RIP and @ICON3DTech by @JasonDBallard is crushing) -- Healthcare needs to focus on lowering the costs of testing, wearables, sleep (@eightsleep @m_franceschetti ), equinimity (@calm go @tewy go!) and diet (go @ohalo go @friedberg!) These three also have the most regulatory capture, grift, fraud and corruption -- so we need the media to call that injustice out (go @nickshirleyy @CBSNews and anyone else chasing down the fraudsters). Thanks for coming to my TED talk. h/t @TEDchris

Ending prompts on opus 4.7 with "Use your Xhigh setting to think deeply" works every time for me. It thinks way longer than if I just have it use adaptive thinking...

@Shwinnabego They wont. None of them will survive, as each day passes I think these general AI tools are in big trouble bc the labs will eat them. Very specific verticals are the one place people can build moats in my opinion.

i get 5+ inbound per week of a new "AI creative design tool" which are functionally all exactly the same (and just vary in levels of how confusing their UX is). I don't know how any of these businesses will make it tbh

I have never been more bearish on non engineer vibe coders. Shipped enough multi-agent systems this year to spot the pattern. The companies doing it wrong are building isolated agents per workflow. The companies doing it right are building one orchestration layer that sits above their existing tools. Think about it from different verticals.. Finance alone has 100+ workflows. One agent per workflow is a maintenance nightmare. Nobody can trace where data went wrong. Nobody knows which agent owns which output. If you are building agents inside a big organization you MUST have a coordination layer that routes work to specialized agents, passes context between them, and surfaces what matters to humans. Your existing software stays untouched. Your agents live above it.

Not sure what happened to Opus over the last week, its degredation is mind blowing. GPT 5.4 heavy absolutely killing it, just wish it was better/faster at tool calling.

What I find odd about this and I could be completely wrong. Isn’t Hormozi 100x more ‘successful’ than Robbins was at the same age? I’ve always been skeptical about Robbins’ business accruement. He just says he has ‘100’s of companies’ but never really seen the details What is Robbins’ best public investment?

This shit is marketed as an herbal tonic but what it actually contains is synthetic 7-OH (a powerful opiate) and then some synthetic kavalactone (a GABAergic like GHB or Xanax) This shit is Kratom and Kava root the same way that 1970s ditch weed is the same thing as those nightmarish 30mg THC-P gas station gummies that send you to the spirit world for 72 straight hours

Saw this on the ground near a highschool. Talk to your kids about this stuff if you haven't. Very bad news.
