NEW: Over $50,000 has been raised for a Domino’s delivery driver who went out of his way to get his customer's Diet Coke when he realized that Domino's was out.
68-year-old Dan Simpson of Boise, Idaho has gone viral for his kind act.
"[Dan] had stopped at the store himself to pick up Diet Coke for us. On a busy Friday night. During deliveries. Completely out of his own time and effort," the customers said on GoFundMe.
"[Dan's] been working at Domino’s as a second job for 14 years… and he’s retiring in just a few weeks..."
About $50,000 has been raised for Dan so far.

It's official. I'm out.
As of yesterday, three people I know have already reached out about new IT leadership opportunities.
While it's reassuring, saying no hasn’t been easy. I’m sticking to my plan, giving myself time to decompress before trying something new.
The hardest part will be resisting those comfortable offers when fear and uncertainty creep in.

On Monday, I will resign from my job as an IT executive. I’ve led a large team for several years. Soon after arriving, I realized the role was not what I expected and the environment was unhealthy. Instead of leaving, I chose to view the situation as a challenge. Over time, I shifted from trying to improve the situation to focusing on supporting my employees as best I could, often at my own expense. Last week, however, I found myself unable to protect them any longer. That moment came when I had to lay off an employee and friend of 25 years, with no involvement in the decision. I lost any sense of purpose. So on Monday, I will walk in and resign. I expect that over the next several months, many more will follow, though I realize the company may not care unless it impacts the bottom line. But my wife and family, my purpose, will care.
