Iran lays out five specific conditions under which Iran would agree to end the war, via PressTV. These include: 1. A complete halt to "aggression and assassinations" by the enemy. 2. The establishment of concrete mechanisms to ensure that the war is not reimposed on the Islamic Republic. 3. Guaranteed and clearly defined payment of war damages and reparations. 4. The conclusion of the war across all fronts and for all resistance groups involved throughout the region 5. International recognition and guarantees regarding Iran's sovereign right to exercise authority over the Strait of Hormuz. presstv.ir/Detail/2026/03…

Taking over Kharg Island would be a high-risk move. Any troops deployed there would be exposed, confined, and highly vulnerable to Iranian retaliation. And it still wouldn’t stop Iranian exports. Iran built redundancy into its system. The Jask terminal, connected via the 1,000 km Goreh–Jask pipeline (1 million b/d capacity), was designed exactly for this scenario. Tehran already loaded ~2 million barrels from Jask this month, its first major shipment since 2024. It helps, but it doesn’t replace Kharg. Even in a worst case, exports don’t go to zero. 🛢️
