@lian75864 @0xIlyy Have you heard anyone actually use it?
English

@vincentgriffith @andrewpprice Just to give some context to make it easier to remember: humans naturally expect physical objects to be lit from above (i.e. by the sun), so OpenGL format better fits human perception.
English

@andrewpprice OpenGL: Looks like the map is popping at you
DirectX: Looks like it has divets and point away
OpenGL: Brighter Colors at the top
DirectX: Dark colors at the top

@f1yingbanana @ruchernchong @Purring_Lynx there's a pretty straightforward attach called email bombing which can be conducted through waitlist signups.
English

@ruchernchong @Purring_Lynx Right, because people use bots on waitlists…I wonder who would do that 🧐
English

wtf is open source google drive?
an ftp server? -_-
Logan@logscore
I forgot to add the rate limiter 💀💀💀
English

@garrettkjohnson What's the practical use of these topo lines if there's no labels telling elevation at each line? Label rendering is the real problem here, not the lines
English

@SebAaltonen Because I have normal UI for network stats on Pixel8. Everything is clearly seen, can copy IP address on long tap.
English

@zeeg @bishtshivanshu hmm, vim? maybe there's a way to configure it, but I'm always struggling with proper indents when editing some configs on VMs
English

@StrandedKitty @bishtshivanshu ive not used an editor in like 20 years that doesnt handle this
English

@bishtshivanshu @zeeg If you have a space-indented file then it's a giant pita to edit it in simple text editors and not smart IDEs. You'll have to press space a lot. I think this is the reason I've always preferred tabs.
English

@zeeg i did read it somewhere that tabs are better for accessibility
English
@Sigma_Photo Is this using “L mount”? BTW, you have Exposure spelled incorrectly as “Exporsure” in several spots on the page linked to.

@dejavucoder @steveruizok It looks like Cursor is still only available as a standalone IDE. I understand how it's a viable option for young children learning to code, but what about everyone else who's been using enterprise IDEs like VS or JetBrains products for 10+ yrs, and not just VSCode?
English

@steveruizok cursor has been early, fast and better at shipping ux wise, overall best autocomplete model so far (approx next action prediction). copilot people just have been slow to GA stuff
English

@FirmTorsion @SebAaltonen How else would you tax black money then? It surely makes sense to forcefully tax it in some way
English

@SebAaltonen It's time to end the disastrous and inflationary VAT TAX
English

@Volt_Vincent @LinkofSunshine It looks like some AHs already have cash machines. They look like big white plastic terminals. I've seen them in a recently renovated AH near me but never used them.
English

@StrandedKitty @LinkofSunshine Authorize the same employee that constantly need to check my bag to accept cash payments, or just install a coin/bill slot like a vending machine. Also most of AH's I've seen completely removed all cashiers with exception of certain peak hours.
English

@Volt_Vincent @LinkofSunshine How do you expect to pay with cash at self-checkout? It's albert heijn, just go to the cashier
English

@LinkofSunshine Not accepting cash is actually illegal, not that that law is enforced in any way, shape, or form, but that's another issue.
English

@shademap It's aerial perspective: the contents of the air make it look bluish. Your line of sight towards the big mountain's shadow doesn't have sunlight cutting through it, so the atmosphere doesn't light up and appears darker.

@emergetools @TPLINK How about Android version ? It must smaller in size right ?
English

We got multiple tags to analyze the Tapo @TPLINK app for being over 760 MB 👀
Let's see what we find in here 🤭🔎

@the_one_orlando @unusual_whales Aren't what they used to be 3 years ago? Really?
English

@dooonoten @marclou @levelsio I don't think it's been around forever. People didn't care whether something was "healthy" when the food was scarce. It stopped being scarce in the West less than 100 years ago -- now food is pretty much solved, and so we focus on very small problems instead.
English

If you want to make money online, ride waves:
- @levelsio rode the nomad wave in 2017, and now he's riding the AI wave
- I'm riding the "be my own boss" wave
There's another, bigger wave coming: Health.
The food we eat makes us sick. The morning alarm makes us sick.
Being healthy in 2024 is hard. It creates tons of problems (aka. entrepreneurs' opportunities).
It's still early now. It will be obvious in 2034.
Ride the wave.
English

@RitaPanahi @georgmolzer Climate change is the default Western religion of the 21st century, but instead of sacrificing people we're sacrificing GDP growth
English

Having someone else show up for your interview is fraud.
Listing fake credentials is fraud.
Fake degrees is fraud.
Firing an American, claiming you can't find a replacement and then hiring a foreign worker who is no more skilled is fraud.
Having ten guys living in a house is hot bunks where guys are sharing a bed - one guy awake, the other guy sleeping- in a town zoned residential - that is fraud.
There is fraud all over the system.
