I got my YouTube channel back. I created it on April 6, 2006, my birthday, and I never gave up fighting for it. I pushed for a real review and even had to get a lawyer involved, and it finally paid off. My channel had been terminated since December 4, 2025. #nevergiveup

@allysonfan20 I think it's good for Youtube, because real creators that film their own content were getting hurt by all the AI clop. The more content, the less revenue for each. Now real creators will stay. And low value bulk stuff not.

YouTube's basically ruined at this point. With their AI moderation taking down and demonetizing random channels, the CEO of Google and YouTube are staying silent about this. (1/?)

@medeadly How did you push for the real review anyway, before involving lawyer? I tried pinging TeamYouTube on Twitter, only to get two false rejections in chat, as my YouTube Studio still claims that the appeal is being processed.

I filed a complaint against YouTube via Platform Control after being ignored by creator support team for over 10 days. After watching Thomas Kim, Director of Product Management for Creator Monetization & Support at YouTube, I realized something clearly, I’ve followed every single rule, and this is a false demonetization. My experience with YouTube monetization has been completely inconsistent — and it feels like automated AI systems are playing with creators. • Dec 17: My channel was demonetized • Dec 19: Monetization reinstated after appeal (so the decision was wrong) • Mar 09: Demonetized AGAIN for the same “reused content” issue • April 04: My related channel with ZERO issues was also demonetized just for being linked I submitted clear evidence via email to Creator Support, no response. Not even an acknowledgment. Meanwhile, I’ve now been waiting over 200+ hours. What’s worse? On X, @TeamYouTube responds with generic “please stay in touch via email” replies while completely ignoring the actual email thread. I’ve even attached a screen recording proving this disconnect. This is unacceptable. Small creators deserve transparency, accountability, and timely support, not silence and automated replies. But please do not forget the creators who spent years filling this platform with content, growing it, and bringing in audiences. Without creators, YouTube would not have become what it is today. The problem of mass waves of demonetization needs to be addressed urgently. Why are original creators, who make unique content and invest their ideas, time, and effort into it, being left without income? Why is the platform pushing away the very people who help it grow? There used to be a clear and fair balance between creators and YouTube: we created content, you provided the platform, and the revenue was shared between both sides. But what is happening now is destroying that trust. Please do not stay on the sidelines. Start listening to creators and pay attention to this problem before it is too late. ⚠️IMPORTANT READ: If YouTube doesn’t solve its AI problem quickly, we won’t have many human creators left. (+ research insights) If you’re wondering why it feels like you’re seeing more AI content, and why human creators seem to be disappearing, here are the numbers from a real study by Goldberg and Lam. They analyzed what happened to the stock image market after generative AI was introduced. I’ve added an image showing what the data looked like month by month. Every single month after AI entered the market, 1 in 4 creators exited because the economics stopped working for them. Now, it wasn’t bad for everyone. Total consumption on the platform went up by 39% per month. But sales of human-made content dropped every month. The platform won. The buyers won. The human creators… didn’t. Think about what that would look like on YouTube. AI can already generate scripts, voiceovers, thumbnails, talking-head videos, and entire channels at a fraction of the cost and time it takes a human creator to produce a single video. The algorithm doesn’t care whether a video was made by a person who spent three days filming and editing or by a system that generated it in 20 minutes. This isn’t about being anti-AI. AI helps a lot of creators improve their output. But it is about protecting the type of content people actually want to watch. And I’m not just talking about removing AI slop. I’m talking about making sure human-driven channels are protected and prioritized over AI-driven content. The stock image market already ran the experiment that YouTube hasn’t fully felt yet. Don't ignore that. Here’s my ask to one person: @nealmohan I know you’ve seen some of my work (algorithm, platform changes, etc). I respect what you’re doing for the platform, but this is your moment to stand for human creators. It’s time to put public effort into protecting them. Not just AI labeling or low-lift solutions, they don't solve the problem in a meaningful way. No, we need a genuine, real, and public effort to preserve what YouTube was built on.
