@LimitingThe Do these cells have 6.2% less energy than cybercells? Configuration 88s6p? Arranged 12W33L, 16W33L, 22W24L or 24W22L?

The battery for the Cybercab seems to be oversized for what's needed for a robotaxi. However, it's the perfect size if you factor in that they could eventually put in an LFP battery cell that would provide about 200 mi of range at highway speeds.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

New information about @Tesla's Cybercab has been revealed in public EPA documents. • Front-wheel drive • Battery capacity: ~48 kWh • 219 horsepower • Curb weight: 3,113 lbs • GVWR: 3,730 lbs • Motor power: 163kW • Voltage: 326v Equivalent All Electric Range is listed at 418 miles, with 375 miles of highway range, but the final EPA range rating is usually a decent bit lower. Tesla has previously stated the Cybercab has about 300 miles of range. Filing: dis.epa.gov/otaqpub/displa…

@wmorrill3 Any chance of ever getting a rear facing camera built into the lightbar for when the tailgate is down? Outside of off-roading, some of the sketchiest things you’ll ever do with a pickup truck happen when the tailgate is down 🫠

@trentsizemore The creep when already having a clear view of vehicles is the concern. That vehicle coming down the road is going to think you are pulling out. FSD most certainly would if the roles were reversed.

M3P is a stupid good value and sold me on EVs. Wish they would trim it down to a roadster and put out a base Corvette competitor for $69,420 that has better cargo capacity. 2 golf bags, 2 suit cases and 2 duffle bags in the trunk and 2pc removable top that fits in the frunk. ~340 miles of range.

This car is just stupid fun! Show me another car you can “hoon” on backroad & can drive you across country while you kickback “supervising”. @Tesla Model 3 Performance 💪 Price for fun & smiles it can’t be beat. See my buddy @OutofSpecDetail 1 year ownership update link below.

People who aren’t tall and/or don’t have kids don’t get it, but there are like 5 suitable non-minivan 5-6 seaters on the m market that fit car seats well and this is one of them. It’s only one of two EVs. The other is the Kia/Hyundai EV9/IONIQ9.
Arkham@Arkham_MrJ

Test drove the R2 at San Antonio and the room in the back seats for child seats is insane. We had plenty of room in front for the wife to sit and not feel cramp like the Tesla model 3. We noticed lots of Tesla folks testing them out and talked to a few who want one 👀

Driver+ was their gen1 ADAS that was on my 2022 R1T. Rivian gen2 (UHF) currently appears to be at enhanced AP levels. I rode the whole FSD development cycle and I rather not do it again. Excited to see others actually starting to try. Rivian will leave gen2 hw users behind once their in house stack comes online. That's the product they need to package with their electrical architecture for VW joint partnership.

Okay, so YOU have a Rivian with their Driver+ NOW? So you're basing this on your first hand experience? I have not experienced it yet, but have buddies that have and have seen other peoples recounting of experiences. It would be a modern miracle if they accomplished any level of p2p adas by EoY.

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe in new interview: "Later this year, we'll have full supervised point-to-point, which will be very similar to @Tesla's FSD. That will roll out to all of our Gen 2 vehicles and, of course, R2. Next year, we'll allow it to go unsupervised, so you can take your eyes off the road. The next step is achieving full capability for the vehicle to drive itself with no one in the car. We've been developing that for a while for our personal vehicles, but we also see it unlocking new business models, robotaxi being one of them. We took the decision to parter with Uber so we could focus on the tech and leverage them for their access to a big distribution channel. They're really a category of one. There's no one quite at their scale or reach." Full interview: youtube.com/watch?v=wP61dC…

@Michael_L_Rauch @Tesla @elonmusk As a single Tesla with lifetime FSD household looking to be 2, I’m not buying a $50-100k asset that required a subscription to utilize the most useful feature at a price Tesla decides to jack up once we are hooked. Their product is non investable under these terms.

I really think in time @Tesla & @elonmusk deciding not to allow FSD ownership transfers any longer will eventually hurt sales. Don’t think I’m giving any of my three cars up when I may want to trade up or change just because FSD is so good & I prefer owning things. ✌️

@greggertruck @SawyerMerritt @Tesla Rivian universal hands free is at 2019 autopilot levels of capability but want you to believe they will catch up to FSD within 6 months. That’s comical after owning a Driver+ vehicle that was promised to have lv3 capability at launch.

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla I'd have a way easier time if it could handle non straight roads right now. It's can not do that, based on what just saw in Shelby Church's R2 video. I hope he's right!

It is a lifted, slightly modified 4Runner, BUT it was fun to place an R2 next to it for some size comparison. They both claim identical maximum storage capacity, identical (factory) ground clearance, and that rear drop glass. 🔥

Making sure base Triangle still is has the Cybertruck DNA Front and Rear Lockers work great! Rally Mode instead of Baja (still able to turn down ESP / adjust powertrain balance) Coil suspension is smooth & sound system is good! More important consumer relevant testing to come 💪

@ZachBeenvvr @SawyerMerritt I get being annoyed by it, but he’s allowed to post or not post what he wants. He’s literally an independent one of us man. Does he like Tesla most? Yep. Totally does. Is that wrong? Nope. Plenty of people don’t pay any mind to Tesla. It’s alright.

@RivianTrackr I cant stand this (speaking from a foundation cybertruck owner). If your previous products have these types of things, your new vehicle needs to have them at launch. Media devote a lot of attention at launch and the half baked software can ruin a first impression.

The R2 launches missing a few familiar features. No Rivian Assistant, Climate Hold, or Pet Mode, limited Gear Guard, and no SiriusXM, Casting, or YouTube yet. Rivian says some are at least a month out. riviantrackr.com/news/r2-launch…

Matt's Offroad Recovery just posted a video where they recover Wistlin' Diesel's broken down Cybertruck and F-150 in the desert. The software wouldn't let them flat-tow it (even in tow mode), so they used two crane trucks to pick it up and carry it 😂 youtube.com/watch?v=e-q87z…

Cybertruck doesn't have Actually Smart Summon (ASS) because Unsupervised FSD is around the corner. That doesn't mean it's a good excuse. Here's why: ASS And Unsupervised FSD are redundant features. They literally do the same thing: - Come to me - Banish to a parking space - Forward or reverse in a driveway Tesla isn't allocating engineering efforts for redundant features. The problem is that Unsupervised has been "around the corner for YEARS". Because of this, Tesla has used the same excuse to ignore ASS for YEARS one their flagship vehicle. Cybertruck turns 3 years old this year (!). There will be three-year old Cybertrucks on the road THIS November without ASS or Unsupervised FSD. Even if Unsupervised ships in 2026 (it won't), there's a fatal flaw in the logic to ignore ASS: Unsupervised may very well be geo-fenced or regionally limited at launch, like it is now for Robotaxi. Even if Unsupervised ships in <1 year, if you live in a State without regulatory approval, the ASS function is still an infinite amount of time away. Your Cybertruck may be FIVE or SIX years old by the time it gets ASS, wrapped in with the Unsupervised stack. Three years itself without a core brand feature is unacceptable. Adding additional years to that is damn embarrassing. Tesla: Now is the time to ship ASS for your flagship customers. Cybertruck customers are your biggest fans, and that is not hyperbole. Even Dumb Summon would be nice. Give them something. Anything. Now is the time.
