Looking for Space-loving kids for research project: For my Mars Analog Astronaut Mission in just over a week, I am experimenting with interplanetary communication delay, and I need test subjects! (Preferably kids, since they are more honest about how boring or hard to follow things are, when mega-lag (600,000ms) hits a Zoom call). I will be hosting a couple free events with my amazing crew at MDRS (We come from 5 countries and speak 5 languages). These will be educational outreach broadcasts in a live Zoom meeting from the Mars Desert Research Station while in simulation, and with a Earth-Mars comms delay. The experiment is to test if a carefully timed exchange with 2 livestreams back and forth can feel more human and personable than just a recorded video exchange or emails back and forth. The main event will be at 12pm PST on February 4th and will be ~80 minutes long. There will be a live host from @outschool supervising, and some of my amazing students will be co-hosting the meeting and taking the first crack at answering questions. While the "local" hosts will be live, the crew and I "on Mars" will have a realistic Mars to Earth delay of 10 minutes each way. Parents and Teachers can sign their kids/classrooms up for this event. @The2x4 @Failwhip I suppose it would be the same as XP where the player would directly need to kill the mob for it to occur, because otherwise that could get mental, very quickly, especially if you’re making like sci-craft level farms lol

I want a minecraft update where every time you kill a mob, every mob of that type gets 1% bigger. I think that'd be really good for the game and people could show off how many creepers they've killed with their giant creepers. really rewarding forever world players

@StormSilvawalk1 This is actually up in the air at this stage, Starship will have much higher cadence eventually, but if it has another rough year or two, Electron could pull this off. I'd say it would require big Starship delays, so most likely Starship.

@robertoblake I regularly feel conflicted about doing content I want to do, but the audience may not care about. But I really don't want to be the guy that talks about rocket explosions and nothing else.

Some Creators really are captured by the audience and I feel so bad for them. Imagine truly worrying about and having your business held hostage by people who will scrutinize your business and who and what you spend on and call you cheap or greedy… As they simultaneously think paying $8-$19 a month to watch Ad Free unlimited content is too much… Or expect you to spend 50-80% of your income back into giving them high quality free content… that they watch with AdBlock, and if you can’t manage they will say you shouldn’t make content and should “get a real job”. Mostly this is the plight of entertainment channels and channels with younger audiences . Grateful everyday that I really mostly deal with adults… even though once and awhile someone will show age doesn’t equal maturity…

I just realized many ranch dressing brands have Titanium Dioxide in the ingredients. Titanium Dioxide is what blocks UV rays in sunscreen…WTH.

@DJSnM Even the "daytime" launch windows are overlapping sunset, so no real problem either way.

I needed a party tune that everyone knows, I needed to have a preview of Artemis II. With so many of the launch windows being at night, this Black Eyed Peas + Artemis edit just made itself.
