Watching the new Peaky Blinders movie, so far the plot is just Tommy’s kid being an ass and him insisting he’s “monitoring the situation.” Hilariously, this tracks.

Arguably, my method would require relying on skill and natural instincts as much, if not more so as it takes away obvious guides and requires the player to think, only allowing for a second or two long flash and extended cooldown. That said, the game is a bit too on the nose visually, spiritual successors should aim to build and improve the formula, not rely on a the very tired paint-based trope it pioneered much to everyone’s chagrin.

@TimSheehy Some of it is unnecessary, but I get the reason why from the clip. It looks like they're going for a Mirror's Edge kind of vibe, with constant movement and minimal HUD. In that kind of sense, that relies more on what the brain can unconsciously pick up rather than a skill.

Looks incredibly fun, but what kills me is that I can already think of several different ways to replace the yellow paint with a far more immersive method to guide a player. Doesn’t usually take long for a design bro to insist the yellow paint is “vital,” because people are dumb and can’t recognize ledges, etc. Fine then, add a “detective mode” flash that gives you 2 seconds of guided path with a 30 second cool down. That’s just one silly suggestion, there are plenty of others you can come up with. There’s always a better option than slapping bizarrely high contrast yellow paint all over your game.

I’d posit that it’s all a direct result of promoters and managers who’ve enabled this over years by prioritizing PPVs over building the sports core audience through proper match ups. As a result, a generation of fighters have essentially aged out of the sport without securing a lasting legacy, having been allowed or guided towards easy money. The current slate average fighters being pushed too early is a symptom of this. With fewer organic stars emerging from consistent matchmaking, promoters rush "next big thing" into spotlight bouts (sometimes against mismatched or hyped opponents) to fill voids and generate buzz & PPV interest. It’s a vicious death spiral of sorts.

Elizabeth Warren is now hijacking the bill & adding a big government stipulation to force homes to be sold after 7 years. That is anti-free market. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran was removed from the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness and Management Support hearing on Wednesday for protesting against military action in Iran. Brian McGinnis, a Green Party candidate running for Senate in North Carolina, was forcibly removed by U.S. Capitol Police and Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT), who said following the confrontation that he "decided to help out and deescalate the situation."

NEW: Former Navy SEAL and Senator Tim Sheehy responds after appearing to snap the arm of Marine Corps veteran Brian McGinnis. A loud 'snap' was heard as McGinnis refused to leave the room after interrupting. "Capitol Police were attempting to remove an unhinged protestor from the Armed Services hearing. He was fighting back. I decided to help out and de-escalate the situation," Sheehy said. "This gentleman came to the Capitol looking for a confrontation, and he got one. I hope he gets the help he needs without causing further violence." McGinnis faces 3 counts of assaulting a police officer and 3 counts of resisting arrest, as well as unlawful demonstration.
