I’ve had a chance to do a couple of drives with 14.1.4 and here are some initial impressions: -Mad Max is next level on highway and high traffic situations, it makes the decisions to change lane, get in the right lanes much quicker and more natural. No more late lane changes and missing the exits. -As many have shared, Hurry does go a bit faster than 13.2.9, and even Standard is faster if the flow of traffic is fast. -Parking options are working great. I’m 3 out of 3, with the first 2 pulled in parking lots, and the 3rd on pulled into the driveway and all the way into the garage after opening it. Have yet to try the parking garage option. -Experienced a couple of hesitations when the car approached the yield sign before moving again. I don’t like using the words brake stabbing because I think hesitation is more appropriate in my case. -Overall, 14.1.4 feels much more intelligent in both reaction and decision making compared to 13.2.9. It feels robotaxi ready to me. And I would not want to go back to V13.

@DBurkland I haven’t seen him in a couple of months, so hopefully they’ve been fixed. I knew that the first few months after receiving it, it was in the Lucid shop quite a lot. He got a Bronze color, Touring package

I finally got to ride in a Lucid Gravity last weekend, and it did not disappoint. Here are my thoughts: - It definitely looks better in person, especially the rear portion of the vehicle. - Just like with the Air, the Gravity looks best all blacked out! - The real Tahoe leather interior was top-notch, and I can't get over how good it smelled haha. - The NVH in the Gravity was excellent, and I heard absolutely zero rattles or squeaks after several drives. - The drivetrain was quiet and super smooth, especially when decelerating with regen. - One of my favorite little features as a passenger was the backseat trays that fold out, much like on an airplane. - The pillar vents for the rear passenger seats were a nice touch; however, the fan speeds didn't seem strong enough. Overall, I came away super impressed. Shoutout to @briandstone and jeremyjudkins_ for showing me Boca Grande and the Gravity!

Here's the Sentry Mode footage of 67-year old Karen Lewis vandalizing a Cybertruck with a board and nails. She then placed the board under the front tire, presumably hoping it would be driven over. She also placed an aluminum sign under another tire, because? She has since been arrested and charged with misdemeanor damage to property.

He couldn’t use his phone to drive the car, still stuck with the key fob. Also couldn’t use his phone to control the lights and AC within very close range. Then whole other issue with the bad navigation map. Infotainment couldn’t be used for anything but radio and Bluetooth, no streaming services work. He paid $118k and the interior looks pretty bare, outside of the nice fancy glass screens across the entire dash

Tesla’s forthcoming AI5 uses a half-reticle design, which is crucial for yield. A reticle defines the imaging area of a lithography machine, fitting two chips per shot effectively doubles yield. This means the Tesla chip design team had to carefully manage die features, for instance dropping the older ISP (and classic GPU) to make room for more AI cores. By contrast, NVIDIA’s Blackwell fills nearly a full reticle, making it a single-reticle design. If Tesla hits its compute and efficiency targets with AI5 in this half-reticle format, it’s almost like cutting fab requirements in half. And this has a big impact on Terafab, especially if it carries forward for AI6, AI7, etc.

Terafab may be the most essential vertical integration Tesla has ever undertaken— and it is truly non-optional. It will take years to build and will test even Elon’s speedrunning abilities to the limit, but that won’t stop him from trying. The breakthrough likely lies in overhauling the overall facility’s cleanroom model. By moving wafers in sealed pods with localized micro-environments, the fab no longer needs a monolithic ultra-clean space. Elon’s line about “eating cheeseburgers and smoking cigars” on the fab floor isn’t silly, it’s the practical reality of a radically simpler, cheaper, faster approach that could finally change the economics of chipmaking. This is all forced by the brutal “pinch” in chip supply. Tesla must produce on the order of 100–200 billion AI chips per year just to saturate its roadmap. That volume powers: FSD cars & Robotaxis (tens of millions of vehicles needing AI5 inference for near-perfect autonomy), Physical Optimus (scaling from thousands today to millions per year, each requiring AI5/AI6-level compute), Digital Optimus (the new xAI-Tesla software agents for digital/office automation, running massive inference clusters), Space-based data centers (AI7/Dojo3 orbital compute for GW-scale training and inference beyond Earth limits). AI5 delivers the ~10× leap for vehicles and early robots; AI6 shifts focus to Optimus + terrestrial DCs; AI7 goes orbital. No external foundry (TSMC, Samsung, etc.) can deliver that scale or timeline— hence the Terafab launch. Without it, the entire robotics + autonomy future hits a brick wall. Terafab isn’t optional; it’s the only way forward.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

My mom took delivery of her second Tesla today, a Model Y Performance! Three years ago, it took a lot to convince her to give Tesla a chance. Her 2023 Model X was her first EV. When it came time for a new car this year, she said she will own nothing but Tesla the rest of her life. She relies heavily on FSD and couldn’t have a car without it. Thank you to the wonderful people at Tesla Sarasota for being so kind and accommodating to my mom today!!

@DBurkland @BLKMDL3 For sure. With many competitors have caught up and surpassed the Plaid, for the version with SpaceX package, I’m thinking the Roadster 2.0 has to do quarter mile around 8.0s or lower

NEWS: Tesla’s Robotaxi service launch in Las Vegas appears to be imminent, as many Model Y vehicles equipped with rear camera washers have been spotted in a parking lot in the suburbs of the city. The cars also have Texas license plates. Only the Model Y robotaxis in Austin have rear camera washers.

My social battery needs more range. After 50+ years, degradation has been significant and I am well beyond the drivetrain warranty. Any tips?
