@SmartestMetsGuy @NDS1089 @StevenACohen2 Why do you think he won’t opt in who is giving him 80 million the next 2 years lol
English

@VORElec @NDS1089 @StevenACohen2 Glorified 1 year deal I don’t give a fuck. Been heating up recently too. O’s r locked in for 4 more years on an aging Pete who’s on pace to have one of his worst seasons. Enjoy low .800 high .700 ops for $31 mil the next 4 years
English

Love this. Good for Pete and a big fuck you to @StevenACohen2 and of course David Stearns.

Pete Alonso has been everything the Orioles could’ve hoped for. Team leader in HR (18), RBI (52), Hits (74), SLG (.475) and OPS (.812). Safe to say Baltimore won’t regret this signing.

@Moziz93 @LockedOnMets He wouldn’t make the Yankees rotation or the dodgers or braves so disagree with number 3
English

@LockedOnMets 2025 was an anomaly. We traded for him after a fluke season and that cost us 2 top 100 picks. This year is his norm and who he really is. A number 3 starter on a championship team.

Freddy Peralta 2025 vs 2026: 👀
2025 2026
ERA | 2.70 | 3.63 🔻
K/BB | 3.09 | 2.47 🔻
WHIP | 1.08 | 1.32 🔻
FIP | 3.64 | 4.01 🔻
With rumors circling that Freddy wants an 8-year $218M deal, should the Mets extend him or try to deal him at the deadline? 🤔 #LGM

Watch King breaks down why wearing a Rolex to a party in the LA Hills might actually get you judged.
Even though the Submariner is a phenomenal watch, he points out that people are not going to look at it and think "Oh that guy's a baller."
To actually prove you have status, the AP Royal Oak is the true entry-level piece to make people say "Okay maybe he does have money." Putting "$30K, $40K, $50K in a watch" shows the room that you actually have the liquidity and disposable income to back it up.
For a casual streetwear style that avoids looking too formal, his controversial pick is a Royal Oak on rubber straps because "you can dress it up or down."

I'm a tax lawyer with 20 years of experience.
This question is sort of complicated.
If Reid Hoffman gave her the money out of a "detached and disinterested generosity," then it's a gift to her and not taxable income.
Facts to support that would be that she was going to sue Trump anyway and Reid just wanted to help.
However, if Reid wanted to sue Trump and went looking for a plaintiff, it gets more complicated and seems like it could be taxable income to her of some sort.
English

If E. Jean Carroll had a $7,000,000 litigation bill covered by Reid Hoffman, that is taxable income.
She SHOULD have paid roughly $2.5M in tax fees.
Does @SecScottBessent and the @IRS know whether she "forgot" that too?

@VladTheInflator Prices on Long Island record highs
Prices in CT record highs
Prices in NJ record highs
Prices in Westchester all records all over ask

@JustinCLeto @Mets Bichette will opt in you have to trade prospects for someone to take him
English

The @Mets fired every coach except Mendoza and somehow they managed to hire coaches that are even worse. McLean isn’t this bad. He just has no guidance and coaching. The one that should’ve been fired was Mendoza but in the best illustration of how bad David Stearns is, he chose to keep the one guy that was the worst of all of them. The ineptitude of this team and its brass is something to study. They simply do everything wrong at every level.
It’s time to consider trading:
Baty
Vientos
Brazoban
Williams
Weaver
Bichette (but unlikely able to)
The sad part is that unlike 2023, they don’t have much to offer in trades so the rebuild will be very very painful. They’ll be bottom feeding for guys like Jazz Chisolm and will never bid for Skubal.
The team is fucked for years to come. It’s unreal how David Stearns destroyed this team so quickly.
English

Mets should absolutely trade Freddy Peralta. He clearly would be interested in coming back this winter.

Trade deadline season is coming for Freddy Peralta. He hopes he stays with the Mets: nytimes.com/athletic/73083…

@realpeteyb123 High end renovations in nyc is 2500-3000 per sqft if high end
English

A 3,000 sq ft - 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath, renovation with new electric, flooring, kitchen, skin coating with designs involved is now $2 million plus to start.
Used to be $600-750k when I was in the business and that was a lot and I was working on high profits.
Now the profits have lowered considerably and that’s the new pricing.
And yes, people pay this.
You understand what I’m writing here?

Was hanging out with an old contractor friend last night. Many of you don’t know I used to be in high end renovations in NYC 15-20 years ago. Asked him how much a designer inspired luxury bathroom renovation costs these days on 5th ave, Used to be $50k when I was doing them, with some absurd bathrooms peaking at $75k Now? They start $200k and can even get to as high as $300k One bathroom.
