Word on the street is that Abdiel Capital is shutting down.
The hedge fund was known for its highly concentrated bets and managed $3.4 billion in discretionary AUM, including $70 million in 13F AUM divided across 7 positions.
Abdiel reduced its top 4 13F positions by at least 80% during Q4.
1. $HCA: 44.24%
2. $GLBE: 19.77%
3. $AFRM: 15.11%
4. $APPN: 12.40%
5. $CPNG: 6.02%
6. $TBBB: 2.28%
7. $GBTG: 0.19%

Not exactly sure, hasn't been covered by any major outlets either. My best guess would be that their concentrated positions got caught off guard by a changing market dynamic. Either LPs wanted out or Moran decided to call it a day.
I remmeber Abdiel betting big on $CRCT a few years back and that didn't turn out well. Same with $CPNG $APPN

Perusing VIC out of boredom & saw this in a pitch for long APPN. Does anyone know Abdiel's track record? I didn't think they had "interesting insights" on SW, more just that they own highly shorted junk? Literally never heard anyone call them reputable tech investors before.
