@chasetxwx Looks like temps are underperforming so far during peak heating in some places. Others still going to see records fall though.

I never would have guessed the job market would be as tough as it is when I graduated last year. Anyone else experiencing issues finding employment with your degree? I know several friends who also have STEM degrees who work in blue collar jobs like myself, but curious what others are seeing out there.

Indeed very cool. Shallow warm core low looks like a “snowicane” if one were to exist. I wonder what some of the snowfall rates are in some of the banding features.

As we close March and head into the start of April, the pattern should once again turn more favorable for severe weather events across the from the OH Valley to the S. Central US.

Not a fan of this for the plains/Texas as we head through March. We need to be building soil moisture this time of year if we want to stave off early, intense heat. Going to be a long summer if this pattern continues to show up down the road.

Whew. All signs are increasingly pointing to a significant, if not strong to very strong, El Niño event. I'll have more to say in coming weeks & months, but for now I'll just say that this is increasingly likely to become a major regional-to-global climate driver in 2026-2027.

We've now gotten around 2 inches of rain here in North Fort Myers now! Totally out of the blue too! The steering winds were supposed to be taking the sea breeze deep inland and to the east coast, but we got a really good sea breeze collision right over us this evening.
