I'm so tired of how the future of gaming is shaping up. Due to AI data-centers, all of the gaming devices like handhelds and consoles are getting more expensive. RAMs and SSDs, which used to be among the cheaper components in a PC have became expensive to the point it rivals the price of a mid-card GPU and with the push towards subscription model and cloud gaming, making the consumer own nothing but pay monthly fees to play games on a cloud server makes me nothing but sad, and the over-reliance on upscaling and frame generation making developers release their games mostly unoptimized (and how companies are making QA department completely AI-dependent makes it even more worse). Gaming was a hobby that's gonna get so expensive in the future that many won't have the financial capability to invest on it. Sure you got emulation which has a lower entry point, but still everyone deserves a PC with a decent spec or a console. I don't have any high hopes for the future ngl, so if you're planning to buy a PC in the future, don't wait, just buy it now, or else you'll regret, and focus on backlogs as well.

The person buying a neo doesn’t need fast or care about benchmarks. They want a laptop to browse the web, write papers, and use some form of excel. They see a low entry point of $600 that will pair perfectly with their iPhone and AirPods. Not to mention it has a battery life of over 4 hours unlike both my 13” and 15” XPS’ running both windows and CashyOS.

MacBook Neo takes ages to open an app that isn't made by Apple, believe me the XPS 13 doesn't have to do much to match it in daily usage From my experience, benchmarks on the Neo do not translate to real use. It's a great and fun laptop, but not fast
