@lonseidman I’ve been desperately holding on to my QB pro desktop (v24) for more that a few reasons, locally hosted the top of them, but now @Intuit, in their cash grab, says they are forcing us to move to online only, charge us much more, and the online lacks features I need for customers..

I feel less like Inuit's customer and more like its prisoner when I use Quickbooks. Primarily because I have no place to go with my data. This morning I'm hit with three different popups for upsells, useless AI slop etc.

Here is a slow April day example showing how the @EPCube cuts off the electric company for peak time, had a little left over for off peak, then charged to full during "super off peak" time... Remember, I have no solar panels.. this is all just battery management!

Post EPCube, for the 10 months, I used a total of 155kWh less..meaning extremely comparable usage. Total 10m pric, ~$2,180. So i saved $3,250 in 10 months and $325 per month...

did some quick math with the 10 months of EP Cube (Battery only, no solar) data I have, using my electric company usage/bill history. Over 10 months, I averaged ~3,600kWh a day usage. pre-EPCube, for 10 months, ~$5,440. cont...

@TFW_Designs @Windows Yeah, that’s my go to script, however, with Windows 11 I did run into some weird errors and I had to use some other things to make up for it but yes, that script is bad ass

@_ByteMyBits @Windows Have your tried Chris Titus Windows Utilities? He has an app included that does this for your called Micro Win. It strips all the unnecessary crap out of Window 11. All the bloat, telemetry and account requirements. Takes about 5 minutes. All you need is a Windows ISO.

Spent probably 4 or 5+ hours tonight installing, reinstalling and testing the multitude amounts of Windows 11 "fixers", "debloaters" registry edits and modifiers to find the best combo to neuter @Windows's latest malware OS. No MS account, telemetry (although this needs extended testing on my part on a network level to verify), No AI spies, bloatware, etc etc. And, to be completely honest, even though it was a fight and a half to do, Windows 11 is not bad at all. But thats in its neutered form. I truly feel bad for common users who have no clue how bad microsoft invades their privacy and slows down their computers. the images attached are just GUI examples of what Ive done.

@Windows 11: Force setup with Microsoft accounts. This puts control of your OS directly in their hands. It gives them unlimited ROOT access to all of your data, tracks everything you do/type/work on, giving them the most valuable advertising data possible. It also gives them the power to control your usage, be it pushing an agenda or burying topic. All of this not being enough, it also allows them to forcefully shove subscriptions down your throat, all the time. If you’ve ever tried to get rid of Onedrive, you know what I mean. You can’t even buy Office anymore, you have to subscribe to it, indefinitely. Along this theme, Microsoft gets paid millions to either, pre-install bloatware from their partners, or shove direct links/app icons to said games/app/etc. This is all just garbage intended to milk every last penny they can out of you. And Ads..Oh the ADs.. Its absolutely crazy to me that your primary operating system can show you ads on lock screens, screensavers, search bar, start menu, explorer windows, etc. Its out of control. And I dont even want to go down the extremely deep rabbit hole of “anonymous” advertising IDs that completely bypass privacy laws linking everything you do on your PC, phone, and now even your car to a very real and very detailed profile on you. They, by far, know more about you than you know about yourself. The worst part about all of this is that they can literally do anything they want with your data, any time they want to, with whomever they want to do it with. They bluntly lie and deny and IF they get caught doing anything illegal, they just pay a little fine and move past it. Its not even a punishment, just a cost of doing business. @Microsoft is going through their “Black Mirror” phase, pushing the limits of corporate greed and privacy invasion on a scale never before seen. And it’s only going to get worse.

I admit it @amazon , sometimes my boredom kicks in and I try to see the "deals for me" page. But not once do I stay long or click anything because a page full of "deals" with no prices listed without clicking into them ruins my doom scrolling vibe. js.

Seriously @WatchJRGo1198 Needs 3 Channels..... his main, tech throwback, and #WatchJrMow I've been here since the beginning and I wouldn't mind Farm Equipment content but if had to make a compromise then let it be for a Mowing Channel.

@rh22367 Not sure how 🤔 each outlet is either 120v or 240v, hz wont change. This is intended to power 1 or 2 devices at the same time (unless only low amp outlets are being used). It’ll let me plug it in to a 50a outlet I have and adapt it to just about anything else I may encounter.

@plex did you really just remove listening to audio only on the iOS plex app?? This to force users to plex amp? Plexamp that wont let me change the playspeed for my audiobooks? Your new app update is trash, all around. Stop actively trying to ruin everyones experience just to make another penny.

I have officially, manually haxxed all the dataz from the EP Cube Home battery with an ESP32 in order to integrate its sensors into Home Assistant! EP has everything blocked behind a website or phone APP.. But I bypassed all that by intercepting the raw communication data, then manually and slowly decoding anything that translated into values I could use. Now, I can use this data to dynamically control power savings based on weather, usage, etc by either changing the battery or changing powered items in my house! (this dashboard is not all of the sensors, just a quick dash I threw together, I have like 40 entities...) #SoElit3Dawg
