Once upon a time, only American Express issued a true metal card and it came at a steep ₹60K price tag. It was exclusive, intentional. Then OneCard entered, pitching metal as something for the masses. Within months, every bank jumped in. Metal stopped being premium and became default. Fast forward ~3 years: suddenly metal is “expensive,” and replacement fees are quietly pushed onto customers. Reality check: most of us never needed metal in the first place 😅 they are bulky, impractical, and a pain to dispose of securely. What users actually wanted? Better rewards. Wider acceptance. Reliable service. Your thoughts?

I want to clarify something about this article @apar1984 and I wrote: An infrastructure for mass censorship is already in place, in India, and the new rules expand it. We're seeing mass censorship of accounts and posts on X, Instagram and Facebook, because of this infrastructure. This infrastructure: 1. Operates with speed: - blocking of posts has to be executed in 3 hours (govt is considering 1 hour), which means there's no scope for challenging them. This is the shortest takedown timeline in the world. Every order is an emergency order. - When platforms get 100 at a time, which happens, they act first, think never, and censor always. Impact: If someone was censored and can't understand why, this is why. No one has time to think. 2. Scale...Scope has expanded uncontested: - The reasons for which speech and posts can be taken down keeps expanding. New rules expand government powers to tweets like this one. - News websites and platforms are covered under IT Rules (illegally) - Streaming platforms are covered under the IT Rules (illegally) Impact: more types of speech is already being censored...satire, journalism, or political criticism 3. Operates without challenge, in two ways: - When you get 160 takedown orders a day (as X disclosed to a court) how many will you challenge? - Platforms don't want to react because they can lose market access in India. They're faced with unrelenting pressure from regulators, and basically choosing which hill to die on. Us being censored is not their problem. - Rules are changing frequently: 7 amendments to IT Rules since Feb 2021. By the time courts nullify one rule (and they don't always do this), new rules come up. How often will people go to court? 4. Ordering takedowns has been decentralised: - The (illegal) Sahyog portal, which is used for takedowns, is a hotline from government bodies to platforms. Thirty-three states, seven central agencies, and seventy-two companies are onboarded. 5. There is no transparency hence no accountability: - Users receive no notice. censorship orders are not provided on request. - blocking orders and the meetings of the committee that reviews them are protected by secrecy. - RTI's are not responded to. - Consultation responses are not public. 6. Government is seeking personal data of social media users using Sections 70B, 69 and 75 of the IT Act. This will lead to self censorship. 7. Lawmaking process has collapsed: - The new IT Rules consultations have a 15 day deadline. - Implementation timeline for the last one was 10 days. - Rules are being made where there used to be laws government by Parliament. The new rules mirror provisions from the Broadcast Bill which was withdrawn in 2024. Parliament is being bypassed. As we wrote: when the IT Secretary reportedly says that platforms should have started preparing to implement based on consultation drafts, it appears that outcomes are predetermined. Consultations appear to be a farce. MEITY, DoT and MIB are not accountable to anyone but the government for rules that are not in line with laws, and go against a key free speech verdict we got in 2015. That's why this is an infrastructure for censorship. It is in place, it is operational, and it is expanding. This is not just about the new rules. This is why we're sounding the alarm about: people need to know what is going on, and the Supreme Court needs to take this up. They are the court of last resort, meant to preserve constitutionality. P.s: Please keep a copy of this tweet, in case it gets censored. Or just tweet it and tag us... how many will they censor?

🚨 Axis also down on RedGirraffe. Rent via credit cards may be over (for now). Even Axis Bank payments are now showing “Payment Gateway unavailable” on RedGirraffe. What makes this more surprising 👇 Just recently, RedGiraffe had shared an official communication saying they were aligning bank-by-bank for RBI compliance and that Axis cards should work. But on the ground right now: ❌ Axis not working ❌ Other banks still not live And there is no clear ETA anymore. At this point, rent payments via credit cards look effectively paused on the platform. Will keep tracking if any bank comes back online. 👀

Today I visited an offline store to check out ceiling fans, and I was genuinely surprised to see that Atomberg Technologies fans were the first recommendation from the shopkeeper. This was a wholesale shop in the electronics market in Indore. One interesting thing I learned: Atomberg was among the pioneers in bringing BLDC technology to the Indian fan market, and many other brands followed later. For those unfamiliar, BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) technology is highly energy-efficient. It uses a motor without carbon brushes and can consume up to 65–70% less electricity compared to traditional induction motor fans. Thanks to permanent magnets and an electronic controller, these fans also generate less heat, operate more quietly, and tend to last longer. The shopkeeper even showed photos from the catalog featuring co-founder @arindam___paul and other founders with the Prime Minister. Another interesting point he mentioned: If you buy from an offline store, they personally ensure service support. But with online purchases, in case of issues, accountability can sometimes be unclear. Quite an insightful experience overall 👍

The Silent Scream: How One Liquidity Sweep Ruined Families Today. 🩸 Aaj subah 11:25 AM. Sensex 71,545 par khoon se laal tha. Ek retail Option Seller ne screen dekhi, aur poore confidence ke sath 71800 CE ko ₹101 par short kar diya. Usne socha: "Market itna weak hai, Sensex 71,800 kaise cross karega? Yeh ₹100 ka premium to meri jeb mein aayega." Usne leverage ka sahara liya. Margin kam karne ke liye door ki Puts buy ki, aur apni poori zindagi ki savings—wo paisa jo usne bachhon ki padhai aur ek naye ghar ke liye rakha tha—is ek 'safe' trade mein laga diya. Aur phir... Smart Money ka khel shuru hua. The Brutal Liquidity Sweep. Dheere-dheere market ne ghoomna shuru kiya: 🕒 1:00 PM - Call ka price ₹363: Trader ka dil ghabraya, par ego ne kaha, "Hold karo, abhi market niche aayega." 🕒 1:25 PM - Price ₹729: Haath kaanpne lage. Screen par MTM (P&L) heavily red hone laga. Dimaag mein aawaz aayi, "Bhagwan bas ek choti dip de do, cost-to-cost par nikal jaunga." 🕒 2:10 PM - Price ₹1190: Broker ke system se margin calls aane shuru. "You are short on funds." 🕒 3:15 PM - Sensex ne 73,568 hit kiya! Aur wo 71800 CE jise usne ₹101 par short kiya tha... wo ₹1607 par trade kar raha tha. ₹101 se ₹1607. Ek 1500% ka violent, aag laga dene wala move! Zara maths samajhiye. Agar kisi ne bina Stop-Loss ke sirf 1000 quantity (Sensex Options) short ki thi: Aane wala tha (Premium Collected): ₹1 Lakh. Market ne chheen liya (Total Loss): ₹15 Lakhs! Yeh sirf numbers nahi hain bhai. Jab screen par achanak laakhon ka loss flash karta hai na, toh saans atak jati hai. Kamre mein ek aisi chuppi (silence) chha jati hai jo seedha dil ko cheer deti hai. Gale mein aansu atak jate hain par aawaz nahi nikalti. Wo sirf aur sirf retail ke stop-losses aur margin ko hunt karne aate hain. Jo trader ego mein aakar market se ladta hai, wo zinda dafan ho jata hai. Stop-Loss aapka ego hurt kar sakta hai, ek din ka P&L kharab kar sakta hai... lekin dhyan se sunna: Stop-Loss aapki family ko sadak par aane se bachata hai. ₹100 ki cheez ko ₹150 par khushi-khushi kaatna seekho. Ek bada move, ek single liquidity sweep aayega, aur market usko ₹1600 banakar aapki tabahi ka bill aapke haath mein thama dega. Aaj jin bhi dosto ne apna account blow up kiya hai, dil se dua hai ki bhagwan unhe himmat de. Trading ek business hai, isko jua (gambling) mat banao. Protect your capital as if your life depends on it... because honestly, it does. I have seen this screenshot in X today , don't know if its true but it is possible ❤️ Drop a Heart if you promise to NEVER trade options without a strict Stop-Loss. 🔁 Repost this to save a fellow trader's life and capital today. Let this be a wake-up call!
