Hi to everyone who told me this isn't about being anti-trans, it's legitimate concerns. This poor woman was not found to have done anything wrong, she's literally moved to other side of the world & they're still hounding her. Disgraceful.

Hi @stonewalluk We need to talk. I have supported this organisation for years. The work Stonewall has done over decades has kept people alive. It has changed laws. It has changed culture. It has changed what it means to be LGBTQIA+ in this country. That history is real and it matters. Which is exactly why what happened today is so painful. Your new Chair gave a platform to JK Rowling in the national press. Framed her positively. Pink washed one of the most significant threats our community has faced in a generation. At a moment when 46 transgender children have died following the trans healthcare ban that her campaigns helped make possible. At a moment when she has personally funded legal cases to remove transgender people from public life. At a moment when her money is flowing into an organisation explicitly designed to strip transgender people of their rights, their healthcare and their dignity. And Stonewall read that room and decided the move was to be positive about her. I do not have the words for how wrong that is. You do not get to carry the legacy of the people who built this movement and then extend warmth to the person funding its dismantlement. You do not get to invoke decades of hard won progress and then give a sympathetic platform to the woman celebrating Supreme Court rulings with a cigar and the words I love it when a plan comes together. Our community has been losing trust in Stonewall for years. That has been painful to watch because the organisation has meant so much to so many people. Today that loss of trust became something else. Today it became a breaking point for me and I know I am not alone. The transgender community is not a footnote. It is not a complication. It is not a PR problem to be managed with careful language and diplomatic positioning. It is part of us. When you make peace with the people trying to erase them you are not protecting the community. You are abandoning part of it to make the rest easier to manage. That is not Stonewall’s legacy. That is a betrayal of it. If this is day 2 of her appointment I can only imagine what’s to come. Shame on you. And I hope you hear how many of us are saying that today

If you're genuinely interested in a debate I'm at a loss to understand why you're uninterested in interviewing @ForWomenScot, who secured the Supreme Court victory and are therefore THE leading voices on this issue. @Newsforce Akathisia is basically withdrawal symptoms and is a temporary issue. Guy was taking way too much anti-psychotics and suddenly stopped, which is a terrible way to quit those drugs.
