@CrashKate @rodmickleburgh The problem is that we’ve built more like hundreds of those. Vancouver needs to be denser and as long as large parts of it are held to an artificially low level then other parts get built up more.

I believe they’ve had occupancy permits for over 6 months and are now offering 2 months free rent and $500 cash because nobody can afford the rents on these. If Pete Fry wants to run for Mayor of Vancouver, One City & COPE should get behind him. Most important is co-operating with each running part slates. I was on Richmond Council 51years as a Councillor & got more done than any Mayor. It's getting a majority on Council that counts.

Metro Vancouver CAO Dobrovolny came from City of Vancouver where he worked for 32 years ending up as Chief Engineer. Corporate culture at COV features secrecy, unwillingness to admit mistakes, and staff unaccountability. Thankfully it now has an Auditor General. Metro doesn’t.
