On Nakba Day we join Palestinians around the world in uplifting our people’s resistance to genocide, zionism and settler colonialism since 1948. The Nakba, commemorated on May 15th of every year is ongoing to this day, as millions of Palestinians continue to be starved in Gaza, while thousands more are massacred and displaced from Gaza to the West Bank in “israel’s” ongoing genocide funded and carried out with the United States. “Everything happening in Gaza today is not new. It has been happening since 1948, now on a larger scale for the world to see. Proof was never the problem, because we know this is how colonization operates. This is what they do to indigenous people. Mamdani didn’t “have” to keep Tisch, he chose to. Incoming mayors typically appoint their own police commissioner at the start of their term. He could have done the same. He didn’t. Instead, he kept Tisch who defends genocide, hosts Netanyahu and teaches that 🍉 is antisemitic.

Cops started attacking pro-Palestine protesters who are marching around the block to evade police barricades that are blocking off several streets. People in the crowd were just pepper sprayed and shoved with metal barricades. Several cops were mad they pepper sprayed themselves.
