Patrick Lennox, Former RCMP Intelligence Manager, on Alberta’s election data breach: That data—the full names, addresses, and phone numbers of almost 3 million voting age Albertans—circulated for at least a month in the Maple MAGAsphere, but has almost certainly been captured by state based authoritarian adversaries including Russia, China, and the United States. This poses a massive public safety risk and exposes the October 19th referendum process to profound levels of foreign interference from the global far right. Alberta is completely exposed. All of our elections data is in the far right wind. open.substack.com/pub/plennox/p/…

@PaulStewartII A whole lot of idiots and bots are commenting who assume nobody knows there's more information in the voter rolls than was ever found in a phonebook.

@Acyn Add an intelligence test, a psychiatric assessment, a forensic audit, and a security clearance. Every democracy should do this.

Trump says anyone running for president should take a cognitive exam because you could end being stuck with a moron for years. “I mean, you get a guy who gets in there, he's got a good line of crap. He gets in and all of a sudden you're stuck with a man who's a moron”

More than 200 activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla who were seized at sea by Israeli forces and taken to the Greek island of Crete were released earlier today, with photos showing visible injuries including bruising, cuts, and swelling; participants say they were beaten and abused in custody.

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.

?? It is a criminal case. There is no discovery. And consciousness of guilt does not apply. Nice try though!
Catherine Herridge@C__Herridge

Consciousness of Guilt Behavior: If the @comey case gets as far as discovery, his contemporaneous texts, emails and other communications will likely reveal his intent and unfiltered response to the public backlash over his Instagram post. Comey took down the Instagram post the same day, claiming he believed "8647" was political speech, not associated with violence.

@CraigBaird I dimly remember there being a difference in how reusable the stubbies were compared to the American-standard bottles. Maybe that was just marketing.

For decades, The Stubby Bottle ensured that Canadians knew their beer was produced within Canada by a Canadian brewery. But in the 1980s, in the hope of boosting sales, the stubby was abandoned by breweries for the long-neck bottle. This is the story. 📸 LeShoppeVintage 🧵 1/8

@peggy_blair The judge's thought process mystifies me. Did he need a telepath to scan the man's mind before finding his testimony non-credible?

@avenge_p Makes you wonder how many expert witnesses it would have taken to convince this judge or if he would have disbelieved them too. He accepted the accused's testimony he believed all of this fell within normal bounds and dismissed the independent evidence he had as unreliable?

Ungloved. No nurse in the room. An expert witness testified these examinations fell far outside neurological practice. Judge decides the expert witness's testimony has frailties and is biased and dismisses the testimony of 41 women, none of whom had ever met before the trial.
Kelly@broadwaybabyto

48 female patients came forward against Kitchener neurologist Jeffrey Sloka. They alleged he performed unnecessary pelvic & breast exams. The college took his license. The crown pressed charges. The male judge let him walk.
