This is horrific. ICE was at SFO kidnapping this mother right in front of her young child. And I have questions.
San Francisco is a sanctuary city, which means no city resources can be used to aid ICE. How did two unidentified ICE agents get behind security at SFO to do this arrest? Allegedly SFPD were on the scene providing cover for ICE - how is that ok?

I taught American Government for decades.
Separation of church and state is about as basic as you get.
It’s not just the 1st Amendment that makes this clear. Article VI, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution prohibits any religious test as a qualification for federal office or public trust.
That’s also a clear separation between religious belief and your right to serve in elected office.
My high school juniors understood this, but a sitting Senator doesn’t?

Don’t think this is a hot take anymore, but:
Acuff has the lowest floor of any of the top draft prospects. He also potentially has the highest offensive ceiling.
If I’m a GM secure in my job, I think about taking him 2-3. If I’m not secure, I understand taking the high floor guys.
Either way, excited we get to watch him at least one more time. (And disappointed that we don’t get to see AJ.)

His administration:
- changed the indicators of domestic terrorism to include anti-Trump, anti-capitalist, pro-immigrant, pro-LGBTQ speech
- tracking Americans using their cell phone location data, private financial, health and travel data, social media posts, political donations and more
- expanding ICE detention centers beyond what’s needed for deportations
- ICE agents have been denying due process, and financially incentivized to arrest and detain people, whether they ultimately get released or not
- refuse to charge anyone for the 44 deaths in ICE facilities or the 9 murders by ICE agents
- his billionaire allies are buying and consolidating media and tech to control the news, social media, AI and devices you use to push their propaganda and help track Americans
Trump’s attacks on democracy, our freedoms, and Americans aren’t individual attacks, they’re coordinated — and they aren’t for him to remain in power, it’s for whoever his Epstein class benefactors choose to succeed him.

Trump’s reaction to Robert Mueller’s death may be his pettiest post yet. I will say as someone who didn’t vote for Trump and initially fell for the whole RussiaGate thing in 2016: Russia was never the reason Hillary lost. That was simply the excuse Democrats used to prevent the party from changing and actually doing anything for the people. This is important because still a decade later and the Democratic party has no agenda besides being against Trump. The reason for this is Democrats serve the same capitalist and imperialist system as Trump, but just want to do it with nicer language and better optics. This won’t cut it or solve the problems we face, which is why we need to move beyond the duopoly. It is time for an economic and political system that works for the working class, not the donor class that both parties serve.

5 states have looked for non-citizens that managed to get registered. Utah found 1 out of 2.1 million voters; Georgia found 20 out of 8.2 million, Michigan found 3 in one county out of 724K voters, Louisiana found 390 out of 2.9 million (shame on you Mister Speaker), and Idaho found 36 out of 1 million. Illegals don't vote. Why should they. Trying to register to vote is a good way to get caught and be deported.
