Beautiful article about my cousin Yuval z”l who saved the lives of residents in Sderot and tragically lost his life in the process. Thank you @noatishby and Noa Kirel for their tributes. Article here: israelhayom.co.il/news/local/art… 🇮🇱💙🤍

A raw and powerful moment from @RahmEmanuel as he recalls his father’s unusual term of endearment—labeling him a "schmuck" while accompanying him to the protest. It also serves as a stark reminder of how pervasive antisemitism has been throughout history.

The Combatting Hate Act passed in the House of Commons this week.    That’s a huge step forward in our mission to build a stronger, safer country where everyone — no matter who they are or how they worship — can live free from violence and intimidation.

@RobynUrback Completely fair. I couldn’t finish it - it was a compelling, but hard, read. It is riveting though.

Al Quds Day has become an annual platform for antisemitic hate and extremist rhetoric. In today’s climate, this raises serious public safety concerns. I call on the City to take the necessary steps - up to and including an injunction - to cancel the demonstration.

Latest from me, now live at @the_lineca: We all know where this is leading. And we also all know, or should, why it’s going to be allowed to happen. Stopping it would be potentially politically controversial. It’s safer to just deplore it in the aftermath.

These alarming and unacceptable acts of anti-Semitism are becoming too common. Nobody should be afraid to attend their place of worship or practice their faith publicly. Thinking of Jewish community members in the GTA and beyond today. We stand with you and we’re committed to working collaboratively — across political lines, religious backgrounds and more — to reject fear and hatred. Anti-Semitism has no place in Ontario. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…

Yesterday, I visited two synagogues in Toronto — one recovering from the recent horrific shooting, another repeatedly targeted by vandalism and hate. These acts of antisemitism are completely unacceptable and those responsible must be found and justice must be served. Law enforcement at all levels are coordinated around this effort. Incidents like these have been growing at an alarming rate. This should not be happening in Canada and we will do what it takes to eradicate antisemitism. The federal government currently has legislation before parliament to toughen sentences and protect religious and cultural spaces. We’re also sending targeted federal funding that will train law enforcement and Crown prosecutors to more effectively investigate and prosecute hate crimes. At the same time, we must get to the root of this issue. Canada’s new government is committed to working upstream to counter radicalization and the conditions that allow antisemitism to take hold. As Prime Minister Carney put it: Jewish people must be able to live their lives openly, freely, and safely. That is not a hope. It is a commitment. Canada will always stand with the Jewish community.

This is vile racism, period. By posting this Donald Trump is promoting racism, and confirming that he is mentally unstable. Time for Republicans in Congress to find their spines and stand up to the madness.

It is with tremendous sadness that our family learned today that my beloved wife, Tara Baran, has passed away. We thank Ottawa Police, OPP Kemptville and OPP Parry Sound for all of their efforts. Please pray for her, for our children, and for all those living with mental health struggles. My thanks to the many who have reached out. We ask for privacy as we mourn as a family. 🙏☦️

Canada’s own Kristallnacht, with stores being attacked and vandalized because they’re owned by Jews. Of course they’re doing this on the last day of Chanukkah, days following the Bondi Beach Massacre. I’m off to @chaptersindigo to do the rest of my Christmas shopping.

The Indigo storefront at Bay and Bloor was vandalized ahead of today’s demonstration for the National Day of Action against Indigo Books. This same location was at the heart of the Indigo 11 mischief case in 2023, which ended with several withdrawals and discharges. 📸 Dec 20, 2025 #Toronto #ProtestMania Fund this work to help it continue.
