A heartfelt thank you to all the great musicians who breathed life into “All Rise” over two unforgettable nights at @SydOperaHouse. The @jazzdotorg Orchestra and the @sydsymph under the masterful guidance of Maestro @BenNorthey, The @sydphil Choirs, singers from The @consirtofm, and the soloists, Michelle Nicolle and Emma Pearson. Check out some photos from Friday night's performance.

@wil_da_beast630 I am FOR individual liberty, personal responsibility, family, limited government, etc, this is not hard. I am NOT FOR social programs that are dictated by the government.
An interesting question for my right-wing buddies: what are you FOR?
We all know "the Commies are lying" - sex is real, so is IQ, you need police, etc. But, the left does have a few real ideas, like health care. What are your/our social programs and future plans?
@freebsdfrau@nixcraft Ha ha, trick's on you!

I'm always embarrased by my lack of real working knowledge and understanding of git. I know the basics, but sometimes that's not enough.
Curious if anyone knows of any good tutorials either in written word or video?
1/3 I’m judging High School speech and debate face to face today for the first time in almost three years. It was all on zoom during COVID. These kids are incredibly diverse and amazing to listen to.
Had a parent come thank me today for all the coaching I’ve done for their kid. But also for encouraging them to pursue their education and relationships with friends and family with the same vigor as their sport. Love to hear that. I always try to coach beyond the field.
@sphirani 100%, it's a pain all around. I tried it various times throughout and was joyfully relieved when going back to macos or windows. With that said, I highly recommend it, great learnings.
For all the love I have for Linux, using it as a desktop machine is a pain when it comes to bluetooth and battery life. Mac for laptop, Linux for servers - that's what I am going to stick with.
@lizzywol Milton Friedman's Free to Choose should be required reading material for all students and policy makers worldwide (or watch @ freetochoosenetwork.org)
god i hate it when i open up my computer in the morning and see all the porn my husband was watching after i fell asleep, you'd think he could at least close the tab or use incognito or something
@theallinpod@antoniogm@Jason I just re-read the @antoniogm's book and realized that @chamath is called out in the fb boot camp chapter. After 20m of haranguing, "so just fucking do it," he concluded. Classic!
@nickiclyne There’s more than a few:
1. Road to Reality by Roger Penrose
2. The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene
3. 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
4. Conflict of Visions by Thomas Sowell
5. The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt
Poke my head out to the community for the first time since March and I had a really negative experience in the #golang community. Fun times. I’ll go back to my rabbit hole now.
