my PM dm'd me a P.R where he constructed a singleton client and i told him lets zoom in a few hours and ill explain how to fix it. 30m later he DM'd again: "figured it out, just learned about dependency injection"

@advaithj1 @richardartoul I think he’s saying just one code review would be enough to demonstrate to the PM that the code he generated isn’t acceptable and that the PM is wasting his time trying to do a job he doesn’t understand.

People are discussing what the right ratio of PM to Eng to Designer is for a product effort post-AI. I am wondering if the right “team” structure isn’t just a single person per project rather than a team with ratios. If communication is the bottleneck, not coding, force it to the natural boundaries.

I think this is the first usage of strong consistency in DynamoDB global tables to make an infrastructure product built on-top of it multi-region with very minimal changes.

It's called a trade war for a reason. It's zero-sum power dynamics, and there will be destruction. The big winners likely aren't existing US players built around China. It's new entrepreneur-led companies that couldn't have existed/scaled w/o a restructured trade regime.

We really did it.
We took a growing US manufacturing economy, declared it broken, started a trade war, and ... broke US manufacturing.
In last 48 hours:
- Philly Fed Survey: "New orders fell sharply, from 8.7 in March to -34.2, its lowest reading since April 2020"
- NY Fed Survey: Expected orders and shipments plunging
Again, this is a policy to revive US manufacturing.
