@viealx @cerecdoc @soigomaa so how about you both work 40 hrs, share the income provisioning and fully share the childcare and housework. that way you both get time away from the house, you have less risk if one of you loses job. and your children benefit from having both of you active in their lives

People say: "She's so lucky her partner works so hard she can stay home with the kids" No one says: "He's so lucky she's paused her entire identity, put her career on ice, let her ambition shrink, in the name of stability, sacrificed her salary, and sanity so their kids could grow up held, heard and safe" They see comfort." They don't see the cost.

@pppeee122 @viealx @soigomaa Because thats how we are hardwired naturally. When it happens in reverse its usually through necessity ie the woman has the higher earning job. Men and women are not the same when it comes to looking after children.

The US has 989 billionaires with a net worth of at least 5.7 trillion dollars hording our resources. If we distributed that $$$ equitably, regular Americans could leave their jobs and explore lives of creativity and self-growth, with food, clothing, and shelter provided for free.
