Multi-agent architecture in WordPress. I am heading towards a place where every single user on my multisite network can have their own personal, customizable, AI assistant(s). Users will never see wp-admin. Their assistant will use the Abilities API to help them manage their account, create content, and more. This includes structured workflows using the Data Machine Pipeline system. The chat interface can be a Gutenberg block. It can also be any messaging app you want, depending on the runtime (WP Native vs. OpenCode or any other server-side agent).

@GaryMarcus I'm reading it. But I have to run out the door. I'll send you a proper reply when I finish.

@GaryMarcus I still think your laughing emoji reply will age like milk. Because my opinion is still the same as my initial reply. For the record I agree with you that scaling alone isn't going to solve it. It will be scaling, context engineering, RL, and human creativity.

@GaryMarcus I'm not in the business of making tech predictions, I stated my opinion. I think we can create something very close to AGI right now by combining the methods I described. I don't need you to agree with me. I also don't really appreciate the condescending tone. But whatever.

What AI coding tools are you actually shipping with beyond the obvious stack? What's your most underrated daily driver?

@__morse @nayshins Yes I'm thinking remove AI from the equation completely and auto fix everything. Then the human/AI can be purely creative, slop doesn't matter, because it will be auto corrected. Definitely hard to build but possible & preferable imo.

@chubes4 @nayshins but we would still pass the linter error to the agent so what's the difference? auto fix could be an option but it's hard to build

Has anyone documented all the code slop patterns yet? I want to lint for them and banish them to hades.

@__morse @nayshins Don't you think we should keep AI and linting separated to avoid more slop and instead do this with a mechanical algorithm?

@nayshins next generation linter is just a list of markdown files checked in parallel against git diff changes with a fast model someone needs to build this

@Dee_Tay_ler @DavidSHolz @chubes4 @midjourney It's true that most of what I do with AI I discovered by playing around with the tools, not because I went into it with a pre determined idea. I suspect I'd discover a use case with this as well that I didn't realize till I had it.

@sweatystartup I disagree with you, my fellow Huber. AI is immediately useful and exciting, not a speculative bet.

Scaling the Extra Chill concert calendar by using the WP-CLI to discover venues (Google Places API) and qualify them. How many events can fit on one WordPress site? We'll find out soon.

@DavidGQuaid How about a Reddit CLI inside of a WordPress plugin that you can use via server side OpenCode?

@DavidSHolz @bdmarotta @midjourney Generating images from WordPress to use inside of blog content. For a while, I was creating them in Discord, but it became too slow to manually download, optimize, and upload. So I (reluctantly) started using Replicate / Google Imagen instead.

@DavidSHolz @bdmarotta @midjourney I barely use Midjourney anymore because it doesn't have an API despite the images being the best. Please create an API for Midjourney. I still have my annual subscription but it's coming up for renewal in June.

@bdmarotta @midjourney its not clear an API will drive much revenue right now, no one is making 'enough images' for a pay-per-image biz model to work. there might be a 'higher subscription' play that works for professionals and small biz though, but still not obvious it is a huge boon
