When you correctly understand the tenets of the Bible you'll be equipped to know which church to choose. You have to daily study God's Word, but be encouraged, the Holy Spirit will teach you. Sunday sermons won't advance your understanding or knowledge much. They're designed to entertain and assert modern applications. The real value is in the fellowship, praying with others, serving needs and belonging among believers.

Wow, y'all definitely turned me away from the Catholic Church real quick 😂 The orthodox bros were just as bad. I'm just looking to be in a denomination that isn't insane, but I don't know if that's really a thing. Many protestant churches are just as nuts. I suppose when the whole culture turns to garbage, the churches aren't spared either. Welp, I'm still a Christian, but I find little in common with most others anymore.

@TexasPreacher In the NT, "preaching" refers to heralding the Word in public proclamation. The gathered church, however, is shaped by teaching, correction, and exhortation.

The reason that preaching in the streets, jails, and homeless shelters is so useful for preachers, and especially the Reformed type, is that it requires you to interact with the unwashed, unclean, non-church people, and to learn how to do so in a way that they understand. They don't care about Calvin, theological nitpicking, seminary jargon, and ethereal platitudes. It'll teach you not to preach over people's heads and to keep your fancy language in the study. It trains you to keep to the point—Jesus Christ and Him crucified. If you're a preacher or a seminary student, go find a fishing hole outside of the church bubble & plunge in.

Bold, unashamed, biblical preaching like this is rare. The church stood and clapped because the Word was spoken without apology. What’s politics… and what’s not? This pastor just showed us. Share if you stand on the Word over the world. Powerful word from the pulpit in Charlotte, NC! 🔥🙏 This pastor doesn’t hold back — he walks the stage, looks the church right in the eye, and draws a crystal-clear line: “Gay marriage is not politics.” It’s a direct violation of Holy Scripture. Abortion is not politics; that’s human life. Transgender butchering is not politics. It’s satanic efforts to distort and destroy the image of God in His precious children. He told the whole congregation: No child of God can vote for a candidate who stands on these things. These aren’t “left vs. right” issues — they’re heaven vs. hell, truth vs. deception, life vs. death.

NASA posted an ARTEMIS II crew photograph that I think is one of the best I have seen. This is the continent of Antarctica. The area around the continent is clear. This is the Southern Ocean that circles Antarctica. The cold air and water tend to rob the moisture in the air. No clouds. In the middle left of the photo is the Antarctica Peninsula. To the left of the peninsula is Tierra del Fuego. Continuing up the upper left of the photo is the Atlantic coast of South America. The land mass in the lower right is probably New Zealand.

It's okay to say I don't agree with your assumptions and see it differently. They're memes!! It's ok not to laugh and have a negative opinion. But many are enjoying the meme because it exposes the hypocrites. It's very "Christ-like" in that manner. I mean people can keep their virtues to exercise for themselves. After all, men attain virtue from God. You know that right... God is the only one good? Okay then. We agree.

That's fair. Homiletics. It's a discipline that trains pastors in communication strategy, audience engagement, and practical application. It explicitly includes application as a core component of sermon structure, but it's usually framed as explanation, illustration, or application. This produces sermons that prioritize relevance and application over deep doctrinal exposition. Most modern sermon models follow an awful and subjective life‑application pattern which intentionally centers the listener’s experience rather than the structure of the biblical text. What gets lost? Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season. 2Tim 4:2

@JayVTheGreat I would never look at this and even remotely consider him to be portraying himself as Jesus. The reach these people are making is showing their true colors.

How do you know he’s portraying himself as Jesus, and not as himself? There are no captions on this photo; people are just losing their minds and making their own assumptions. I’ve never seen a person control so many people’s emotions so effortlessly. He posts a meme, a video clip, or a still image and the whole world goes crazy. “It’s blasphemy! 😱😱😱” 😂😭 It’s only blasphemy if you interpret the photo as portraying him as a god. “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 NIV

-Serves Americans as President -Accepts no money for his work -Gives his mandated paycheck to charity -Cares and raised his children well -Defends Christianity with tangible policy -Confesses Jesus Christ on a national level -Honors victims -Battles evil That's just the quick & obvious bystander perspective. Will you, as a Christian, now apologize for your libel against this man?

@megbasham @realsashastone The President's post was also in retaliation to Pope Leo bashing America. Incidentally, the Pope depicts himself irl as a Christ figure and healer which is actual blasphemy, but no one says a word.

In those cases, you’re never sure who the people are who are posting it. For all I know, they could be paid democratic operatives. So if some random account post’s something blasphemous, I’ll think it’s awful, but I don’t really know what the story behind it is. Here, I know that the president of the United States chose to post this.

I feel like I'm in a Twilight Zone episode. When I was a Democrat, all I saw were religious memes featuring Trump by MAGA, and they were all serious. I know because my former side mocked them constantly. Is this new? Is it just that Trump posted it? From Grok

I don’t know if the President thought he was being funny or if he is under the influence of some substance or what possible explanation he could have for this OUTRAGEOUS blasphemy. But he needs to take this down immediately and ask for forgiveness from the American people and then from God.

BREAKING: I think I figured out the algorithm. You must be original, but not artificial. Active, but not too active. Engaging, but not excessive. Interact, but don't reply too much. Use emojis, but only sparingly. Don't give a one-word response. Don't make your response too long. A brief response isn't ideal either. Spark conversations, but don't post too many comments. Don't post at weird times. Don't post rapidly. Post videos, but don't post videos. Share posts, but only certain ones. Ask questions. Don't keep asking things. Don't interact with low-quality accounts. Don't ignore small accounts. Only interact with blue-checked accounts. Don't comment on too many (premium) blue-checked accounts. It's really that simple.

"There were what we might call hominids- human like creatures- we might even call them proto-humans" Apologist N.T. Wright explains that if Adam and Eve literally existed, they were likely were 'human-like' primates that lived 200,000-5 million years ago.
