No War Then. Still Waiting. My first 1/1 has been acquired by @coffeedev! The final was 0.55125 ETH. Higher than I had dreamed, such a validating figure. But for me the true success was the people it connected with. I started on this piece in June, and from the first share people reached out to share what it meant to them. Mostly from my generation, coming of age around 9/11. In my artist's statement, I shared how creating this piece unearthed emotions I didn't realize I was still carrying. But I didn't even stop to think about how everyone was carrying it. Nobody from that time escaped untouched. We lost family, friends, neighbors, even some of our sense of safety. The world changed fast. During the auction, I received bids from two people I recognized but who don't normally collect art. They told me they bid because it resonated with them. That made me feel better than any other feedback, like I succeeded. 🙏
