It wasn’t Russian air defenses It wasn’t Chinese air defenses It wasn’t American air defenses It was a fully domestically built Iranian air defense system that tracked & hit the “stealth” F-35. Built by Iranian engineers during MAXIMUM sanctions. Never been more proud to be Iranian.
Arya Yadeghaar@AryJeay

Iran has published footage showing the exact moment when Iranian air defenses tracked & intercepted the American F-35 over central Iran. The IRGC says it locked & hit the F-35 over central Iran and severly damaged it.

Yes well so is asking the president of the most powerful nation on earth why he didn’t inform some other leaders in the world. Imagine asking your CEO why they didn’t tell his CEO counterparts in some other company about something that provides them market advantage? It’s not a fkn board or committee, such disrespect asking why he didn’t tell others, no one else is entitled to know. Why is he having to tell them? Is he expected to ask permission? They’ll leak it if they don’t like it anyway, which they won’t because it affects their precious oil from the strait. Reality is, if POTUS wants to bomb Iran to protect Americans, he doesn’t need to inform anyone else. If anyone else still stupid enough to rely on a strait that an Islamist regime closes every now and then, they can go get the oil themselves. Asking him why he didn’t inform other lesser governments is the real insult here. Throwing it back on the japs was the right answer. Suck on those sour apples. They lost the world war, you live in humiliation when you lose.

Unsanctioning Iranian oil doesn’t mean letting the IRGC collect dollars it means seal team six taking possession of Iranian tankers at sea. I thought that was obvious.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

.@SecScottBessent: In the coming days, we may unsanction the Iranian oil that's on the water. It's about 140 million barrels, so depending how you count it, that's 10 days to 2 weeks of supply, that the Iranians had been pushing out, that would have all gone to China. In essence, we'd be using the Iranian barrels against the Iranians to keep the price down for the next 10 or 14 days, as we continue this campaign. So, we have lots of levers.

I am aware of the theory that Trump is attempting to take Iranian oil off the table for China. But realistically is it worth alienating most of the developed world with a totally avoidable energy and economic crisis, followed by a famine in places if the war continues long term

@donaldgorbachev @calvinfroedge This is complete horseshit. Like monarchies just end when the kind dies. They appoint the first born son. That’s how monarchies work. For all the republic bs, Iran has also appointed both of the sons of Khamenei in order, a decidedly monarchist method of succession.

Already wrote that one. Here it is: The five-second epistemology of the counterattack. Any Gulf state that assists in a direct attack on Iran will have missiles sent to its palaces. Not its infrastructure. Its palaces. The buildings where the kings sleep. The throne itself. Iran said this on day one. The missile hits the palace. The monarchy is over. And somebody forgot the most basic difference between the Sunnis and the Shia. The one that matters to this war more than any theological dispute. The Gulf is ruled by monarchies. Hereditary kingdoms. Kings and emirs and crown princes who rule because their fathers ruled. Iran is a republic. Elections. Parliament. Supreme leaders chosen by an assembly. Kill a king and the kingdom ends. Kill a supreme leader and the republic convenes and selects the next one and the next one says not the right time for peace. That’s why nineteen days in, not one Gulf airforce has fired back. Bahrain has intercepted 125 missiles and 203 drones and returned zero. Saudi Arabia intercepts over the Eastern Province and doesn’t retaliate. The UAE absorbs strikes on Fujairah, Shah, Dubai International, Sheikh Zayed Road, and doesn’t scramble a single jet. Qatar takes four ballistic missiles and issues evacuation orders in Doha and doesn’t fire back. Every monarchy making the same calculation every day — absorb the damage, don’t cross the line. The monarchies live there. They understand this. The people tweeting about Gulf airforces counterattacking do not. Iran has all the leverage and knows exactly how to use it. A country that read Sun Tzu better than the Chinese and Clausewitz better than the Germans and the Quran better than the Arabs the empire is hiding behind. Iran has been under sanctions for forty-five years. Fought an eight-year war while the world armed Saddam with chemical weapons. Built the IRGC during deprivation. Built its missile program under sanctions. Built its drone fleet under maximum pressure. Every program the empire is trying to destroy was built during the deprivation the empire now threatens as consequence. The threat is the environment Iran already operates in. The threat is Tuesday. Even Dalio figured it out. The ability to withstand pain is more important than the ability to inflict pain. The kitchen said it first. Karbala is the pain thesis. Fourteen centuries of not submitting. The empire threatening Iran with the thing Iran has already survived while Iran threatens the Gulf monarchies with the one thing they cannot survive. The Gulf states recover more easily. The Gulf states whose 95 to 140 jackup rigs are idle. Whose offshore fields are on decline curves. Whose refineries are under evacuation order. Whose force majeures are declared. Whose Strait is closed. Whose LNG terminals are burning. Whose airports are taking drone debris. The recovery hasn’t started because the war hasn’t stopped and the war hasn’t stopped because the dispensationalist Disney World needs the prophecy and the prophecy requires the war. Day nineteen. The palaces are standing. The thrones are intact. Because Iran said what it would do and every monarchy believed it. The counterattack is a fantasy of someone who doesn’t understand why it hasn’t happened yet. The monarchies are monarchies. The republic is a republic. The Strait is closed.

No. This is excellent planning. US now has a negative carry on the strait being closed. Check mate. He is not your president. Your leaders declined sending a ship there to get the oil you need. And yes you shouldn’t need to if Trump hadn’t bombed Iran but you need to be self sufficient and not just rely on US “putting up with assholes who call for their death” for you to survive. How entitled are you who thinks he will have to look out for your energy needs before doing what is best for his people and killing those who call on the death of his people? Americans are his people, you are not. x.com/dantalks1/stat…

Yeah. I told ya that the “please help open the strait” was a test, not a plea. We failed the test and now the test reveals the answers 👇 Isn’t it funny how exactly the day after every country rejects Trumps request to join in securing the strait, it is revealed that the oil market is now diverging from $100 for Americans vs $150 for everyone else? Iran’s tantrum for Trump taking away their nuclear toys is not Trump’s problem, it’s your problem. I repeat: this is not the 70s. Americans worked hard at tech to achieve energy independence, they reap rewards now for all their sacrifice. They don’t have NDIS there you know, money goes back into building and innovating over there. 2 weeks annual leave that most don’t take. No “can’t call an employee after 35hours” law. Not even basic healthcare and medical costs are high. All Trump has to do now is click a button called “temporary domestic reservation” that I bet he has in his wartime toolkit and he blows up the elections of everyone that said no to assisting in the strait. No $100 oil for you! This is an Iran miscalculation: you cannot use as leverage what your enemy does not depend on and actually benefits from. But never let a good crisis go to waste, Trump is using the crisis to teach the world a lesson: it’s Americas world, you are just living in it. You can be mad about it, but take a moment to be impressed. This is a very very well planned out war. x.com/zerohedge/stat…
zerohedge@zerohedge

The oil market has fragmented: Oil is now trading for $150/bbl in Asia (except the occasional sanctioned Iranian tanker) where demand destruction has started. China and India most pressured. Meanwhile it is still $100 in the US

They aren't safe flows though and that is a huge assumption. China get's its Iranian oil, but that doesn't mean its getting all of its oil from other Gulf States through the Persian Gulf, there is no evidence of that being a widespread factor at this stage. China is also likely getting most of its pre-war oil flows from Saudi Arabia and the UAE through the pipeline networks, which means less for others.

Lindsey Graham
Lindsey Graham@LindseyGrahamSC·
During negotiations between Iran, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the regime rejected the U.S. offer to provide a peaceful nuclear power program for free. Also during these negotiations, the Iranians made a stunning statement. They boasted to Witkoff and Kushner that they had 460 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium. There is no commercial purpose for enriching uranium to 60%. The time to go from 60% to 90% enrichment, which is weapons-grade, is weeks, not months. 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 90% is enough for 10 bombs. Instead of panicking, begging the Iranians not to go forward and throwing money at them like Obama and Biden did, @POTUS chose a different path. When informed of the imminent possibility of a nuclear breakout by Iran, President Trump authorized Operation Epic Fury, which obliterated the Iranian enrichment program. He acted in the nick of time before this terrorist regime would have had enough weapons-grade uranium to make 10 nuclear bombs.
