Maybe you missed it: Metformin already produces 'endogenous' Ozempic via gut L-cells—a type of enteroendocrine cell of the gastrointestinal tract primarily secreting hormones like glucagon-like peptide-1, GLP-1 downstream. Unsurprisingly, the recently unveiled list of age-related diseases potentially addressed by GLP-1 inhibitors turns out to be the same ones forestalled by metformin. Have taken metformin for 22 years, 1 g/day for antiaging reasons only. My A1C/HbA1c and glucose were both normal when I began that regimen March 2003. It pays to be two decades ahead of the curve!

Botox is outdated. Science has discovered peptides that reverse aging by repairing skin from the inside (for research purposes only): 1. GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide) • Stimulates collagen & elastin synthesis → firms and smooths skin • Improves wound healing and reduces fine lines • Restores youthful glow by increasing cellular oxygenation 2. Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8) • Known as “Botox in a bottle” • Relaxes facial micro-muscles → reduces wrinkle depth without paralysis • Supports smoother expression lines naturally 3. Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4) • Activates fibroblasts → boosts collagen and extracellular matrix repair • Improves skin elasticity and firmness • Reduces wrinkle volume and depth over time 4. Thymosin Beta-4 (TB-500) • Promotes cellular regeneration and angiogenesis • Enhances tissue repair and reduces inflammation • Strengthens skin barrier function for long-term resilience Together, they work as the Age-Reversal Stack: (1/3) It rebuilds collagen and elasticity. (2/3) It softens fine lines and expression marks. (3/3) It brings back that natural glow your cells once remembered. Want to learn everything about how peptides and compounds actually work (for research purposes only)? Comment “ME” and we’ll send you our educational peptide guide for free (next 24 hours only). I may kick off my YouTube as the über-successful antiaging provocateur: eating whatever/whenever he wants; ultra late nights; non-scheduled/punctuated sleep; no exercise except daily activities. Other interventions to move the needle? YES, there are many.

It is so rare as to be shocking in recent years to see a straight White man as the hero! (Not counting movies based on comic books created last century or made by Tom Cruise)

Kiesow goes Hollywood 🎬 Be on the lookout for the debut of my YouTube channel—expanding topics using longer-form content, the element of motion, and my natural speaking voice. Apart from a few polemics, and antiaging, longevity and health news, I'll delve more deeply into what I've learned and what works for me—things of actual benefit and use to others! If you have some candidate topics you'd like me to cover, I'd love to hear your thoughts. 😃

Aging is not life. A pathology that brings life to an end can never be considered a virtuous part of it. Aging, just like cancer, is a disease to be defeated. And it is a disease we will defeat. That's all.

@KiesowPaul @drmaclay @foundmyfitness The guy who wrote "the clot thickens" has a good blog post about how often silly the use of inflammation as a cause is, and proposes a test where you swap the word with "healing".

In light of recent news, it's worth noting that the association between acetaminophen (e.g., Tylenol) use during pregnancy and childhood behavioral issues is not new. This study from 2016 found a 30% increase in the risk of hyperactivity symptoms among children (both genders) exposed to acetaminophen during pregnancy. In boys, exposure was also linked to autism spectrum disorder symptoms in a frequency-dependent manner. Causation remains unestablished, but it's exciting that OBGYNs will be getting guidance on this increased risk to inform women.

@KiesowPaul @foundmyfitness My concern is and remains suppressing of normal healing and repair processes (in this case the febrile response) and the potential for triggering persisting immunological/inflammmatorry activity therein.

Fun fact: the pharmacological mechanisms of action regarding acetaminophen are still not well understood. It can slightly reduce pain and fever; there are some speculative explanations why, yet still not well elucidated. Pretty safe overall; can be lethal by overwhelming the liver in large doses. Used in suicide attempts, sometimes successfully. Much controversy for a drug whose efficacy is somewhat higher than that of placebo.

This is what happens to mitochondria in the liver when an animal fasts. During fasting, liver mitochondria are the source of ketone bodies that feeds mitochondria elsewhere in the body. Remarkable mitochondrial elongation (fusion) and flattening are linked to metabolic changes.

@DrKristieLeong If we have to choose - then healthspan - but I don't think we have to choose, and I don't think they are mutually exclusive. I think Radical Life Extension will defeat the chronic diseases (the diseases of aging) en route.

@drmaclay I'm more into maximizing health span than radical lifespan extension. Health span invites us to honor each life stage, and be healthy enough to celebrate it, rather than fear aging. How about you?

Isn't it time to rethink aging? In Okinawa, aging isn’t feared—it’s revered. Elders are active, respected, and deeply engaged. What if we reimagined aging as a season of vitality, not decline? #HealthyHabits #LongevityLifestyle
