@AutismCapital this is Australia's E-Karen aged 20 years, interesting that we can't have any real say in any policy that involves "think of the children"... yet

The United Kingdom is going to announce additional restrictions in July on VPN usage. This is ON TOP OF the social media restrictions and mandated online identity verifications. It's over, UK. You sold out your own society. Absolute tragedy. Very sad.

@SkyNewsAust Security obviously needs to be tightened at the national press club. It's just sloppy management and security.

Prufrock-MB2 is ready to mine in Nashville! MB2 commissioning is complete, including the brief 11 rpm rotation shown here. Will MB2 catch up to MB1, who had quite the head start? And Prufrock-MB3 ships in August!

@elonmusk it's a travesty that too many people aren't seeing the urgency behind these global changes and where they're headed. it's fairly benign for now but no doubt leading up to "misinformation control" where criticism of government will be removed from any social discussion

@Polymarket At some point King Charles needs to dissolve Parliament to save his nation. The elected officials are literally taking rights from legal born citizens regularly at this point.

@Keir_Starmer Big assertive words: "must now", "ensure", "permanently", "finalised", "priority", "severe economic impacts", "leading role in planning", "essential", "robust", "fully implemented", "firm", "never"... for so little action

@donkeeohtee @SenatorSeanBell "foreign interference", funny how albo seems to be singing the same tunes as a number of other 'like-minded' nations, is he the leader or the follower? either way the momentum is real, Aussies have had enough of two parties presenting the same policies acting as opposition

Pauline Hanson has made history by outpolling Anthony Albanese and Angus Taylor as preferred PM. Australians have rejected the failures of this terrible Labor Government and embraced One Nation’s vision for a better Australia.

@JEChalmers @60Mins @9NewsAUS smooth words but we have zero faith in them, I really hope this is reflected in every election moving forward. A progressive society should not be living under a regressive standard of living, every year seems worse than the last in recent years

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

@realJimJacobson @FoxNews conversely the world does nothing and allow a literal death cult to obtain nuclear weapons. that's what they're trying to sell us but for some reason most of us don't think it's a great idea

JUST IN: Speaker Mike Johnson says he was in the White House Situation Room with President Trump and top officials before U.S. forces launched what were described as self-defense strikes against Iran. Johnson calls the operation “proportional and limited,” targeting radar, missile and command-and-control sites.

Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all. signal.org/blog/pdfs/2026…

@AronKlassen @ezralevant they need to increase education, and empower parents, giving government complete control over our internet access and social posts should never be supported by the people. If evil sites are targeting children we need better ways of managing it than more government power

@ezralevant I get your argument, and it's a valid concern... but at the same time I agree with the sentiment. Hate to say I agree with anything Carney does but... The same should be applied to porn sites... Kids are worth protecting.

Both major parties here in oz made it pretty clear and we're seeing the same rollout globally. Since both major parties agreed they had a perfect global test population - i.e., there's not a fucking thing we can do about it because we can't just vote for the "other party". In a few short years we had the covid restrictions, then the new 'encryption laws', then we had the disinformation/misinformation laws that didn't quite get through (yet), then finally the under 16 social media laws. Disinformation/misinformation laws will likely return under the guise of "protecting the children" since those measures were designed to fail anyway. To top it off we'll have our digital ID and our new incoming CBDC to harden up the controls.
