Been doing some research into Cid for Final Fantasy 7 since it seems he not much liked especially in English. Talking with a couple friends in Japan, it seems for the most part, Cid is his causal self when out of Rocket town (as we saw in parts of Rebirth) but when he goes ⤵️

IF Square Enix were smart, and they wanted Capcom money (it’s obvious that’s their current ideal business model strategy) they would market research the response for Final Fantasy Resonance. If positive, have Creative Studio V remake the Final Fantasy Pixel Collection in HD-2D.

@trailduster6bt There is an argument that atb isnt straight turn based. I guess pure tb is like FFX. I do think atb is somewhat more interesting though as it require you to think faster on your feet. Makes turn based more interesting for me personally. I like both though

The reality to accept with a lot of the turn based FF andies is they don't actually want new games. They want the game they have nostalgia for. The one or two games they played in the late 90's. They want a game that lives up to their impossible nostalgic memories. It's childish

I already see people referring to Final Fantasy Resonance being based off Brave Exvius as a negative thing (just look at the responses here). That's how you can tell fake fans from real fans, because us real ones know how good the FFBE story is and we've been praising it for yrs.

@Supernerd471 I dont think thats the issue. Right now the reason its 3 games is bloating. Ff7r has sewer levels added in.. parts that are just one screen in og becomes a whole arc in remake (without it adding anything tangible to the story). Just part 3 has like half the game

Which consumers? XBOX consumers get a more a healthier hardware business in the long term, which, if your only gaming platform is XBOX consoles, is important.
People use this “consumer” argument a lot, but we have to be clear exactly which consumers we’re talking about. Is being “console exclusive” bad for PlayStation and Switch consumers? Yes, that’s the point. If it were up to me they’d remove them from Steam too as Steam is also a big competitor to XBOX. But this is a step in the right direction.
