From behind 'The Tree" The very much missed 'Sycamore Gap' tree on Hadrian's Wall was more than often shot from the south of the tree, looking north. I wondered what the view was like from the other side? Panorama consisting of 7 shots, taken at sunrise on this day in 2022 ...

@paulabearthe2nd @FletcherOwl Dear Police Additional memo... Not just the head. Male stabbers need kicking in the nuts, too. A lot. Many Thanks. A Non-Stabber.

@PaulCoxComedy The naivety of these people beggars belief. I have 11 employees on "minimum wage" plus bonuses if we can afford it. All lovely people who understand our margins. The Directors (us) take nothing in renumeration. £15 p/h means we'll fold. Gone. 🙄

Zach Polanski’s £15 per hour minimum wage proposal is fundamentally detached from economic reality. It reflects a level of naivety about how small businesses actually operate, and suggests little to no real-world experience of meeting a payroll. From a small business perspective, the consequences are predictable and unavoidable: Fewer jobs overall, with entry-level and young workers priced out of the market entirely. Sharp increases in prices as businesses are forced to pass rising costs onto customers just to survive.

The Menai Suspension Bridge is a suspended bridge over the Menai Straight. Built by the Romans in 1066, the bridge connects the Antelope pub on the Welsh mainland to Waitrose on the island of Anglesey. At over 3 miles long, it is one of the longest bridges in the world.

@SBarrettBar @Oftheforest2 I attended a lecture yesterday by a noted historian on George III. She had a slide of Lord North captioned "The Most Unpopular British Prime Minister in History". Her audience politely murmured disagreement and, very humbly, she said she'd better change it to "Second most..." 🙄

There is a deep unfairness at the heart of what Starmer is demanding these MPs do Many of them have a chance at a future political career And he is demanding that they forever be connected to him - the most unpopular PM of all time. He's a nasty piece of work.

BREAKING 🚨 There are strong, but as yet, unconfirmed rumours that the on-the-run Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer has been spotted near Butlin's Skegness Resort I understand he may be "out back, by the bins" Authorities warn against panic - he will be captured!

@EdwardJDavey In a political landscape that now includes Jack Polanski, it is truly a source of awe and wonder how you still, consistently and determinedly, manage to be the most infantile party leader in Britain.

My wife thinks she's been f00ling me for 5 years, sneaking around with another guy without me catching on. But that's not true. I've known she's been having an affair with our neighbour, who lives across from us almost since it started. We have been married for 10 years and for half of that time she has been cheating on me. She thinks she's clever, but I found out pretty soon after it all began. The guy she is with loves to boast about his conquests and one day, he ended up bragging to the barber about his fling with my wife, calling me a fool. But what he didn't know was that the barber is an old friend of mine who spilled the beans. I stayed cool and started gathering proof of their affair. Once I had enough evidence, I showed it to the neighbours wife. We both decided to stick with our marriages for the sake of our kids, but...

@zatzi @somersetlevel @Telegraph This PM and his Attorney General have absolutely no redeeming features at all. None. I'm no fan of Thornberry, but I don't think she is actually evil, unlike Hermer.

@MartinKnight_ You and me will remember 1979, the "Winter of Discontent" and all that. As Mrs Thatcher was defenestrated in 1990, rather than kicked out due to the country being in bad shape, I'd argue that she was the last one..

Keir Starmer, 2019 on proroguing parliament: “The prime minister was not telling the truth about why he was doing it…get Boris Johnson back in parliament so we can hold him properly to account.” Starmer has now prorogued parliament to avoid PMQs. There’s always a clip.
