Many people have been kind enough to ask for updates on Graces condition. Thank you for asking! Grace has had a miraculous turn around after a horrific start to the day. Around 10:00 we had a team meeting and were discussing the possibility of a second transfusion and other contingency plans. Graces nanny said that she was going to stay and pray over Grace again when we left the room. When we walked back in 30 minutes later Grace woke up … said she was hungry and started laughing. When we asked her what happened she said: “As I prayed I felt an energy from the throne of the Lord enter the room and she woke up …. She said that it was the most profound moment of her life.” It gives me goose bumps to write this! If we see an improvement in Graces hemoglobin tomorrow we will know for certain that she has indeed turned the corner because it will mean that her body is producing incremental red blood cells that are overtaking her immune system. We are praying hard for this! Prayers matter! Please keep them coming!

We remain overwhelmed with the outpouring of kindness and prayers we have received for our precious Grace. This morning …. Graces bloodwork showed that she was deteriorating. We administered a blood transfusion late this morning. For the past week her heart rate had been in the 150’s because her little heart was working overtime to pump oxygen throughout her body. Her heart rate is now in the low 100’s. She just woke up ate some soup. She is sleeping again and we continue to pray that her bloodwork will improve in the morning. Please keep the prayers coming. I have faith in the Lord and KNOW that prayer matter! Last night as in lay in my hospital chair with a heavy heart … reading everyone’s messages lifted my spirits …. Thank you! Please keep the prayers for Grace coming … she isn’t out of the woods YET!

My wife and I would like to thank everyone for the heartfelt outpouring of prayers, well wishes and love for our precious Grace. She is not better …. But her blood numbers have not gotten worse. She has been asleep all day. Please join our family in praying for an improvement with her blood draw tomorrow morning. If she is not better we will have to give her a blood transfusion … which is far from ideal! Our hearts ache for her but our faith in the Lord gives us strength! We want our beautiful precious Grace back!
