@AyoCaesar @drdang Yeah add anything you want then (usually a good amount of) butter at the end no heat
English

@drdang So heat the water, add extras, then the chilled butter bit by bit to emulsify?
English

@futurehaspassed oh, sorry - not my thing :/ work and all.. but thanks for suggesting it, really
English

@futurehaspassed i write a little about that ridiculous notion here doi.org/10.1080/079083…, which is based on it appearing in primary school literacy policies, and here doi.org/10.1080/030549… which shows how it appears in guidance on good practice in 'oracy' 🙄. both open access! :)

there is no empirical relationship between a teacher's accent and their ability to teach. but there is a long-standing ideological relationship which frames non-dominant and non-standardised accents as signs of imagined pedagogical illegitimacy. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum: "If even a small percentage of what the United States allocates to war were instead dedicated to building peace and fostering development, it would address the underlying causes of human mobility."
Ishaan Tharoor@ishaantharoor
Mexican President Sheinbaum fires back at Trump in a statement: "Seventy percent of the illegal weapons seized from criminals in Mexico come from your country. We do not produce these weapons, nor do we consume synthetic drugs. Tragically, it is in our country that lives are lost to the violence resulting from meeting the drug demand in yours."

@tombennett71 @AnnaFazack1 Which specific claims are you sceptical of? Give you accept there are unhappy parents/ staff and this is a natural outcome of high expectations
English

@AnnaFazack1 And has any third party independently corroborated or upheld the claims? Because the school denies it. Why accept the accusations at face value? Every school- especially ones with high standards- has some unhappy parents or even a few members of staff. Every one.

This Trial By Terrible Journalism, attacking schools that move mountains to improve children’s lives, is gruesome. The effect is to deter other schools from scaffolding good behaviour. Where is the outrage, the scolding opinion pieces on the schools dominated by misbehaviour and chaos? Crickets.

Exclusive: “There is this cookie-cutter mentality. They don’t care if it destroys your child.” 30 parents & teachers speak out about terrified and sometimes suicidal children at top academy in Hackney. Chilling stories. theguardian.com/education/2024…
English

@DavidBelle_ @AnnaFazack1 @tombennett71 This article is a collection of accounts? Sounds like a strange fine grained distinction you're insisting on
English

@AnnaFazack1 @tombennett71 What did the academy say? What did teachers that are still at the academy say?
English

@AnnaFazack1 @tombennett71 It's grossly one-sided. You are consistently peddling an agenda that has an illusion of being well-meaning, but actually targets the schools doing the best for their pupils.
It's shameless
