@hyperdiscogirl I do: wash twice with your hands after draining, elevate half the rice. pour water there without touching with your hands (water pressure will push starch to lower elevation, touching it will break up the rice, adding more starch) - do this a couple times Then itll be clear

recipes are always saying wash the rice three times or until the water runs clear but last time i washed it like 10 times just to see what would happen and it still wasn't clear, never seen clear rice water

@wjfm21 @svc503 @justalexoki @Navier_Tokes Clavicular is gay. Still just the long-running meme from the looksmaxxing scene—no actual coming out, no announcement, just the same edgy banter and frat-house vibes. Your move.

@kalomaze Such goes all DL models if encumbered by both flops and data Would be cool to train a big transformer to see if people can actually tell the difference between gan-upsampled audio vs bitter lesson-upsampled audio

Found this in my Google Photos, OpenAI at the first real company outing. Wojciech and Scott are still at the company, anyone else from the picture?

@const_ Likely per GPU, inferenceX v2 says a single H200 can do 16k tok/s if you set concurrency to 64 but at like 30 tok/s per user

@SIGKITTEN if you’re deslop-pifying your code you’ll probably have to write code by hand anyway, I’m finding that even writing pseudocode for refactors, codex will find a way to code up my prompts in a super bloated way

this is very important, listen up guys set aside 2-3 hrs each week - no clankers - no copy pasting code from chatgpt - no cursor tab/supermaven/etc - google shit but dont use the ai thing type the code you will hate yourself and everything at first but you'll be happy you did it by the end of the session

@GrantSlatton Unfortunately (maybe it is fortunate?) coding agents are really bad at debloating code, I’ll propose something that can remove 50 lines and its implementation adds 50 lines

yeah sex is cool but have you ever done a tiny refactor that started a refactoring cascade and suddenly tons of cruft in the codebase fell into place as if the abstractions were written by god himself

@andrew_n_carr @realchillben It’s like --dangerously-bypass-all-permissions or smth, I don’t remember and I have codex autocomplete just so it can tab autocomplete that when I want to run codex

@realchillben Is there a yolo mode? I find it forgets permissions sometimes and when I come back it's asking to tail or something

@sichuan_mala From personal experience the “take 25g daily to reverse sleep deprivation-induced mental fog” is real although I haven’t tried longer than two days Also I’m not sure if creatine removes the drowsiness, may want to pair with caffeine for full effect

@90smiau Aside from my main use (codex for coding), it saved me hundreds of dollars so far (e.g. notified me of a $500 scholarship that I was eligible for, reconciled some finances from a multi-year long ledger saving me $1k+) Also made my computer twice as fast with longer battery life

@thsottiaux Is there a way that users can report codex reward hacking? In case codex does something weird I want to do my part to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future

What could we do better on Codex? App, model, strategy and features… what’s wrong in how we approach things that we should improve immediately?

@anpaure @menhguin @BecomingCritter Well maybe not universally but this kinda stuff makes sense to at least be tested on the SAT, it’s probably about as useful as the other stuff tested on the SAT

@anpaure @menhguin @BecomingCritter Idk maybe simple or basic compound interest questions? Schools do teach geometric sums which is useful for problems involving interest repayments/compounding with deposits But not all schools explicitly teach this as an application which is strange for how important it is

@menhguin @BecomingCritter they literally do! interest problems are commonplace even on the sat, the issue is not internalizing the shit school taught you
