@somaco_sf @threejs Hmm? We're building an indie game we'll be shipping/selling via Steam, won't be open source - but there will be a mod layer people can use to build content on top of what we've built!

@turbo_xo_ @azurestrix @threejs Yep, we use skeletal animations for the player view model, we even do some cool stuff like attach the camera to a camera node on the view model to animate shakes and slightly visual effects to make it more immersive.

@azurestrix @threejs You'd be surprised, threejs + webgpu these days is like 80% to 90% on par with more common engines imo, and with low-poly style like we're doing you don't need a big beast of a native engine.
Using @threejs has allowed us to iterate SO much faster making it worth it.

@gridlandsgame @threejs I don't want to sound like a dick but if you wan to ship on steam why not use native language thus getting better performance instead of sacrificing it for three.js?

We're 2 months into building our co-op PvE extraction shooter with @threejs! It's so fast to iterate, we've wrapped the game as an optimized electron app to ship it to Steam once ready and it runs great. We're excited to ship one of the few 3d indie games built with #threejs!

Day 2, #vibejam. Inspired by Geometry Wars on Xbox. @spacetime_db + Rust sim for authoritative ticks, TS client on Vite/React, Three.js WebGPU for the ortho battlefield. Shields, smart bombs, score-based weapon salves, chunky projectile streams, and ship trails. Multiplayer-ready

@schizodio @threejs We might open source it - it's a combination of a lot of chromium runtime flag tuning, and a few bits of secret sauce under the hood. Runs smooooooth as butter.

As we prep our Steam store launch, I cut a pure gameplay video from unused reveal footage to show more of NEUROSYNTH’s combat, a mix of #ResidentEvil and #Soulslike with tactical shooter elements, co-op survival horror with an extraction gameplay loop.
