Some personal news. My wife Lyn has been taken off chemotherapy after four years of treatment for AML leukaemia. Very proud of her and grateful to the Specialists and Staff at the amazing Haematology Unit at Newcastle Mater Hospital. Thankyou to everyone who have been so kind. Teaching might be the only job where it’s harder to take a day off than to show up…thanks to the detailed lesson plans and prep required for every possible scenario.

Cigarettes need to get back to 25 dollars a packet to compete. The excise needs to be cut far more. They also have to stop the plain packaging garbage. The imports taste better. People will always smoke, it's not the governments job.

Tens of thousands of teachers walked off the job in Victoria. They’re all lefty idiots who have indoctrinated a generation with woke bullshit. Sack them all.
