I have officially discovered the best company brand name in existence: CompuGlobalHyperMega.com Billion dollar domain right there... Best part is that it is a Domain Name Registrar! LOL

@cultra @DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic 👇Sellers will just play the hands they're dealt, but I think that most buyers won't understand why they're paying extra for no reason x.com/hypernames/sta…
Nikul@hypernames

@handreg @DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic It makes sense for sellers who are playing the game as it stands, but it's bad design from GD's perspective and seems odd to advertise it as a hack when their own customers are taking a loss.

@hypernames @DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic 🧠 I've been putting mine at 13 months and 25 months just because both kick in financing charge and GD gives us back some of the interest. The customer can change it if they'd like or pay for the domain. But time is money as they say

@DInvesting @DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic I think you're still missing the point Elliot - check the numbers again. In terms of runway/burnrate, a startup gets less time on 13 months than they do on 12 months.

@DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic I think the picture may not be as clear as we think it is. There's zero percent chance that buyers are selecting to pay extra on purpose for no reason. Be interesting to ask the product teams what percentage of buyers even interact with that slider... will be low.

It is a good point that the buyer pays more, but it as a seller it helps me maximize my return. I think the buyers have a clear picture of the costs and the ability to lower the monthly structure, but it gives them more options and could incentivize them pay you in full faster. Either could be a win and knowing all the options can help you as a seller to be strategic in your pricing. It is good for everyone to know all the options.

The following LTO durations at GD result in additional costs to a buyer for zero advantage. Customers picking them are either financially illiterate or don't know that there's an interactive slider in the UI to reduce the contract length 🤷‍♂️ Seems kinda unfair on them ...

@DNAcademy @DomainNameWire @afternic Joe, I believe that tiered structure is screwing over buyers, especially on 13 months... A $15k domain would cost $1250/m for 12 months. That same domain over 13m is $1269/m for 13 months ($16.5k total). You save 5% as a seller but the buyer pays 10% extra for no advantage.

@LeanneMac Heads up Leanne, there's some strange repetition in the list. For example, AppSignal appears 30+ times.

Quick bump on this @AlanShiflett @jamesiles ... I resubmitted my domains using the 'Resubmit Listings' button and three domains were removed from my account without any notification. An Activity Log like this would save so much headache and improve security too.
Nikul@hypernames

This 'Activity Log' on GD should be enabled across all domains - not just for domains using paid Domain Protection. Should be one on Afternic as well. Having an option for the log of updates/changes to be delivered by email would be handy too (instant, daily or weekly)

It's 2026... and we still can't filter by TLD/extension in Afternic 🤷‍♂️
Nikul@hypernames

@afternic Some feature requests please 🙏... 1. Advanced Filtering, by: - Extension/TLD - Date Added - Sale Lander - Fast Transfer status 2. 'Folders' system that's in the GoDaddy Domain Portfolio setup? (called Categories in DAN). 3. Hold down shift to select all checkboxes in-between
