🚨 What improvements would you like to see Tesla make with the next Full Self-Driving version? For me, it's going to be: ☑️ Better parking ☑️ More assertiveness at intersections ☑️ Better speed reduction when entering slower Speed Limit zones

Took them months to have FSD on Cybertruck and many more months to have it be competent... can't just put it on other cars, contrary to what Elon wants you to believe.

@SawyerMerritt Anyone else notice that not a single manufacturer has licensed Tesla’s tech? 🤔

Tesla FSD does basically all of my driving with a push of a button - but to be transparent I would say on almost every one of my drives I still have to do these two things: - change the speed profiles regularly to deal with speed control issues - use the turn signals; this is to stop the car from making stupid lane changes or to get the car into the proper lane so it doesn’t miss an exit. I still think FSD is amazing but I really cannot wait until these issues and the few other lingering problems with FSD get solved.

@rhensing I tried, but our CT would not supercharge. I had just enough battery left to drive to Sterling Va. from Basye, Va.

Since my post below, it appears Tesla has issued a ‘Silent Recall’ on early Foundation Series PCS units. When you take your truck in for service next, they’ll replace the PCS proactively by adding it to your appointment (so I’ve read). This is not recall with the NHTSA. The PCS gets replaced under warranty, but it’s unclear if out-of-warranty repairs are covered under goodwill. Cybertruck has been seeing PCS failures at scale recently, so this is good to see. PS- if your truck is charging at 24/48a at home, make a service appointment ASAP. That means your PCS has already partially failed. If convenient, drive straight to the service center to avoid a tow in case of complete failure.

How is your Cybertruck's PCS (Power Conversion System) holding up? Has yours been replaced?

I have a friend who makes ~$150k/year and has no kids. He invests $0. His reasoning: "In the next 5-10 years, we'll either all be dead or all be thriving with no need for income. AI is taking us one direction or the other." Does anyone else think this?

@CyberTruckWalt @elonmusk Yes. Much cooler! And when I’m only using the Starlink and routers and the refrigerator, the Solar produces more than the battery puts out. My auxiliary battery can last 20 hrs edit POWERS all of my extra lights so I don’t drain the battery

NASA does not have a top-line problem. We receive roughly $25 billion in annual appropriations, including more than a $10 billion plus-up from President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. If that is not enough to run a lunar exploration program and do all the other things across science and discovery, then what is the right number? We don’t need to blame budgets or continuity of decision-making as the common excuse, as if a billion dollars is somehow not a billion dollars and troubled programs should perpetually stay troubled programs. NASA, like the federal government, cannot spend our way out of every problem, nor can we perpetuate bad decisions. That means not getting spread thin across too many imposed endeavors or jumping straight to the “dream state,” which is how everything becomes over budget and behind schedule. Instead, we concentrate on the needle-moving objectives, the reason NASA exists in the first place. We execute with urgency, in an iterative and safe way, and empower the workforce and our partners to get the job done. That is how we changed the world on July 20, 1969, and it is how we will do it again. Expect more from NASA and start believing again.

We haven’t forgotten the days of Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo, where the average launch was every 3 months. We’re not going to follow the previous administration and launch every 3 years. President Trump and Congress gave us the means to do this in the One Big Beautiful Bill so we can change the world again.

Dan from Spotted Model: Cars & Tech
The average age of a personal aircraft in America is over 50 years. The average age of a vehicle on the roads in America is over 12 years. But most regular cars don’t make it to 50 years. Airplanes stay maintained and updated. They’re modular. They get cheaper the longer they’re in service. That’s my legacy Model 3 Performance. It still makes me happy every time I see it. It keeps getting better with updates. And it drives itself - but only when I want it to. Not many cars are this well-rounded. Or this pretty. I think Teslas will be the airplanes of the next 50 years. Just keep flipping out parts as needed. The rest just keeps going. Long after Tesla stops supporting software and hardware, other companies will jump in to do it. Am I onto something?
