@samglover_data @CassandraRules Many of our dedicated, educated early childhood educators and caregivers need food stamps because we can’t afford to pay them what they deserve to make despite requiring them to have at least an associate’s degree.

Maybe they don’t have a kitchen or a home to cook in. My apologies but you need to do more research and better understand the profile of someone who is not privileged and going through poverty. Many homeless people who have approached me to buy them something to eat, are those who are on the streets. In fact I was a homeless teenager myself. Homeless shelters kick you out during the day time and there are no facilities to cook. Granted those who have a home may have facilities but it may help to have a meal even once a day if most of your days are searching for work. Mental health issues during this time can also be debilitating. Make it make sense and I’m tired of people who know nothing about poverty dictating what those in poverty should or should not do or should or should not have.

@CarrieCowa53535 @edtechmathteach It’s because most schools took it to mean give rewards rather than than teach expectations and simply notice when people are being kind, helpful, etc. Rewards aren’t necessary

@PoorOldRoloTony It's definitely worth it for Lithgow and he really makes this show shine. I think this was one of the first things I saw him in and made me a fan of his. I think it holds up for the most part. The last two seasons are not quite as strong, but still worth watching.

@BexBookaholic I’m an early childhood educator so when I get mansplained I go into teacher mode and start explaining things back to the mansplainer like he is 5 years old. Sometimes he will actually catch on to what I’m doing 😏

I have to deal with someone regularly who mansplains EVERYTHING. I would be keen to know how other women handle this type of thing without resorting to physical violence. (For context - last week he oh so kindly explained the menopause to me. What a hero 😳)

@michaelianblack My husband refuses to quit a bad movie but will call out, “this is really bad,” at regular intervals throughout so those of us forced to watch with him know he realizes it. I tend to fall asleep within 10 mins if a movie bores me so I get a nap

Something I do a lot lately that I never used to do: turn off movies because they're bad. Just turned one off. And you know what? It was bad. And I want to say the name but I'm not a petty little bitch like that. But I really want to say the name.
