This is brutal. The "FSD 7x safer" claim is laughably comparing apples to screwdrivers. I've checked, Dylan's points are correct.
And that's in America. I am 5x safer than Americans because I drive in the UK. Can we please drop the "FSD saves lives" guff now?

I mean, it's only 7x safer than humans with a large number of caveats, lol. For example, only comparing crashes in Teslas severe enough to deploy the airbags, to *all* crashes caused by people, even if it was only a slight tap that resulted in minor panel damage or a scratch down to the base metal, etc. It's also funny that Tesla relies on comparing their brand new cars to the “average” American car, because the “average” American car is something like 12 years old, and doesn't come with basic safety features that are common on nearly all new cars now, like automatic emergency braking, land keeping and changing assists. If tesla had to compare its models to other 2025/26 year models it'd do a *lot* worse.

@ClubhouseGrowth @Hartley15NUFC I somewhat doubt they’ll be able to sell this 37k when new model for 30k with 2 years / 16 k miles. Just going off my own experience selling two Tesla’s in the last 6 years. As well as buying one used

Tesla offering a brand new Model 3 for £200 a month is a crazy deal.
Total amount payable is under £7,500 for a brand new car with no maintenance or servicing & big fuel savings.
Likely to save anywhere between £100-£200 a month depending on what mileage you do as well 😳

Ask yourselves why the Cybercab has a 219 hp motor when the car "was designed to never have steering wheel and pedals and it won't go above 85 mph".

@ProudBrit19 @ctrlaltrefuel Yea apart from ~25% of all sales in the UK. As more EVs flood the used market more people start valuing them higher than used ICE because they’re cheaper to run. I’m seeing this already as so many friends that said “never” have recently bought a used EV

@ctrlaltrefuel It was inevitable, been saying it for years. Despite all the hype by the EV shills, EVs remain a niche product that suit only a minority.
You can throw all the subsidies and incentives you like at them but in the end the consumer decides and they have decided and it's a NO.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this proposed change to the ZEV Mandate?
It’s a painful transition for manufacturers, but some of that is their own doing.
Will relaxing the mandate encourage manufacturers to slow down their transition to EV’s, or does it provide much needed breathing space?
And with Chinese manufacturers hitting the U.K. hard with some great products, will this slowdown hinder legacy manufacturers if they take a breather?
Lots to think about here, but let me know your thoughts.

@K12Beano @ctrlaltrefuel @electricfelix Frankly the Chinese cars are getting better than most others anyway so choosing out of those or a Tesla is a good amount of choice. Trouble is Chinese might bring more non EVs with these rules too and that sucks

Everyone is "struggling" but every car park is full of brand new cars.
How do so many people have a 25 plate sat on the drive?
They're all £30k+ cars.
Even with finance they're all £££s a month.
Are people actually paying this from their own money or is something else going on?

@articles_o As is now being reported the finance companies are cancelling deals. Which means Tesla can't try and rush through delivery before month end as there's no buyer. Even if the registration issue is resolved.

@EVPuzzle Do you find it financially better to not charge from grid and export because of the new 12p rate? I’m not sure I understand the logic. I still export as much as I can but I lost about £100 a year based on last years export numbers but still worth exporting?

Yes I might make mistakes and laugh at myself being an idiot. Why would I give that up to FSD

There’s no destination. Im driving just to enjoy driving. I enjoy driving in new places I’ve never been to before too!

FSD. I’ll subscribe on day 1 and test it to death for content. I have little doubt I will be initially wowed as the car starts to drive itself.
But I already know I’ll unsubscribe. Driving isn’t just fun, it’s freedom. And I have zero interest in developing buggy software /1
