@MrHoggsClass @MrVmaths @MrO_Math21 I have spiralled in the same way ... it was amazing how much smoother the content seemed to go once the graphing was grouped together in the middle. Drew graphs in the earlier cycle too, but the learning focus was on the Algebra/Function skills then.

@mrcedward @csschargers @HPEschools The kids created the questions! Ss identified the areas that they were having difficulty with & then created 1 question at each board. We rotated & another group answered - we rotated back & the original group verified the solution. We did it 5 more times. 140 min of thinking!

#MCV4U Ss working on a "group exam" as a way to consolidate learning. Some Ss chose to work in groups & others working alone; some Ss using technology & some teaching as a form of learning. ALL Ss getting exactly what the need! #UDL #ThinkingClassroom @csschargers @HPEschools

If I was going to stop doing something as a teacher, it would be to stop assigning a grade, level, percent, mark, etc., and make sure the majority of the feedback is given during the learning process. School should be about learning, not getting the highest grade. #BookCampPD

Today in destreamed math #ThinkingClasstoom: Students to boards. Write down a pair of numbers that multiply to 36. Survey each group. Only positive pairs. “Sit down if another group wrote the same pair as you” Most groups sit down. “Any group still standing earns 1 point!”

@MrSurti @mrs_k_thompson Agree with both these statements. I tend to use the term scaled by a factor of 1/2 and just removing the compression and stretch vocabulary altogether.
