"The 49ers 2021 draft was awful!"
I've seen this get lumped in with 2022 and 2023.
The Trey Lance pick was turrible. Bad. Awful.
Outside of that, they picked Aaron Banks who left and was paid top-5 guard money - at the time. Talanoa Hufanga left after being an all-pro and was signed as a top-10 paid safety, at the time.
Deommodore Lenoir was given a big 2nd contract by the organization - one many of the same people lauded at the time because they finally got ahead of a contract negotiation and signing for value.
3 big-time 2nd contract guys picked in the 2nd, 5th and 5th rounds - all players who contributed big-time significant snaps on a team that went to 2 NFCCG's and a SB while they were playing.
2 were let go, not because of lack of talent, but because there were too many mouths to feed because the team had so much talent. Let's not revisionist this stuff.

Something that makes this shot even more INSANE is the fact that Bron decided to stationary pump-fake before going into his shooting motion. It completely changes the entire rhythm of your jumper and makes the shot that much more difficult. PSYCHO. 👑

Efficient day: 49ers reduced Osa Odighizuwa's 2026 base salary to $1.7 million, converting most of it a prorated signing bonus and opening nearly $11 million in salary-cap space.
SF now has over $50 million in '26 cap space even after the draft class cost (which got cheaper thanks to the trade-backs today) is factored in.
They’re on good track to be financially sustainable in 2027 with some real trade flexibility, too

Back in the 2020 NFL Draft, the 49ers traded a 3rd- and 5th-round pick to Washington for Trent Williams.
Williams has since been a Pro Bowler in five of his six seasons in San Francisco, and now the two sides have a deal in place to keep him with the organization for another two years.

Assists aren’t necessarily an indicator. Steph Curry was top in improving teammate’s shot quality for a decade averaging around 6apg and SGA is top 3-4 also averaging 6apg.

There is no legit argument for LeBron as GOAT. The GOAT is Jordan, certainly of the past 40yrs. MJ statistically better, more of the important accomplishments, far better clutch player, & even outperformed LeBron on titles despite Bron having better statistical odds for titles Jordan also faced tougher playoff teams in both SRS/NRtgs and the ranking of SRS/NRtgs. This graphic shows how MJ was also far better statistically when you compare their advanced stats to their era. Advanced stats are heavily influenced by era (the rules/enforcement of that year as well changes in how they play the game). Graphic compares them to the top 2 other players in those categories but I've run the numbers for BPM vs top 3, 5 and 9 others. Age 21-35, how they did in BPM vs: Top 3 MJ: 26.9% better Bron: 8.2% better Top 5: MJ: 39.1% better Bron: 18.1% better Top 9: MJ: 58.1% better Bron: 36.1% better So no, this graphic didn't cherry pick "top 2". It holds just as well vs top 3, top 5, and top 9 others.
